You stop by the vending machine before heading to the lab, shoving your drink in your bag before entering. The room was adorned with test tubes, screens depicting dinosaurs yet to be created; embryos in petri dishes and glass cases containing the mutations: experiments gone wrong. Two headed lizards, translucent snakes - the norm in this room. You sit at your desk and log on to your computer, opening up your documents of work on genetic coding - you had shown nobody yet, and planned to finish them within the month... and hopefully get a pay rise.

You hear a gasp from the other end of the room. Apparently, an egg was hatching! You walk over to watch the baby dinosaur claw a hole in the fragile shell of its egg, peeping out with its orange eye. "Aww," You say, admiring the scene - then, somebody barged into you, sending you stumbling. Only just managing to steady yourself before you hit the table, you look back, trying to locate whoever pushed you. Likely to be Dr. Khan, your sort-of 'rival' out of the other scientists. She and you have had arguments over theories in the past, and often do not get on.

You wander back to your computer, images of the baby dinosaur in your head. You sit down and continue working - you get deja vu as you read the same passage of your work again. I'm sure I was further on... you scroll down and reread your theory on DNA construction for the tenth time. It has to be perfect.
