Chapter 1- Diary Entry #2

Evie Grace McKay diary journal: Entry number 2- Not really a date, but it's a date?

(italics is diary entry, normal is dialogue)

So, my parents got me tickets to the Blackpink concert in June! I'm so pumped, but there's just a slight problem. Jess won't go with me, and guess who volunteered to go with me? Here, I'll give you some hints okay? She's my crush, my sister's best friend and the one person I didn't want to go with. If you guessed Cassie, you're correct! This is honestly the worst thing to happen to me. I begged my parents to let me take my best friend Kaylee, who is a fellow Blink like I am, but they said since Cassie already said she'd go, I should take her with me. Um, no! 

I just want to enjoy this with Kaylee, we've been waiting for them to come to Australia forever. We know that Rosé is the most excited of them all because she's from here. I'm definitely wearing my Rosé jersey to the concert, and I'm not letting Cassie borrow any of my stuff. To be honest, I have an entire Blackpink section in my closet, just because I can you know? I have 3 more months to prepare the rest of my outfit and hopefully find a way to remove Cassie from the equation. I bet her boyfriend Tyler is against letting her go, he's very protective of her, just like Jess is. 

I start to hear a small clink against my window, which causes me to look up from my diary. It's probably Kaylee throwing rocks, signaling me to open my window. I place my diary on my desk and open the window to a smirking Kaylee.

"About time you opened that window girl! I was about to chuck a brick instead of a pebble." Kaylee chuckled. 

"Well I was in my own little world, writing a new chapter in the diary. But I guess I can spare time for you as always." I step back to let her in. 

I picked up my diary and twirl the pencil as I think about how to continue the entry. Kaylee picked up my soccer ball and bounced it off the wall.

"So, Cassie volunteered to go with you to the concert huh?" Kaylee said with a frown on her face.

"Yeah, I tried my best to convince them to let me bring you. But since Cassie offered to "babysit" me that one day for free, it's like they owed her something. So she's going, but I plan on facetiming you so you can somewhat see it in person." I smile at her sadly.

Man this sucks. I really want to bring Kaylee because we've been there since their debut! Rosé is literally our hometown hero and Cassie doesn't know the first thing about Blackpink. She probably knows that they are a K-pop girl group sensation, but doesn't know the full details about them. Here, I'll even break it down for you guys to understand.

They are K-pop queens, they all have a unique personality which makes them so amazing. You got the visual and one half of the main vocalists, Miss Kim Jisoo. You got one half of the rappers, Miss Jennie Kim. You got the other half of the main vocalists, Miss Park Chaeyoung, or as she's most commonly known as Rosé. And of course, we can't forget about the maknae herself and the other rapper in the group, Miss Lalisa Manoban. 

I could go on and on, but I think you can look up the rest yeah?  This concert means a lot to me, and I don't want Cassie's boyfriend to kick my ass cause I got too close to his girl. I swear, he's no good for her. I'd treat her so much better. Maybe I'll give her a chance when we go to the concert, oh wait I can't! Cause Jess will give me a list of rules the day before to stay away from her at all times. And knowing my parents, they won't want us driving home late at night so they're gonna get us a hotel to stay in for the night. 

Oh well, guess I gotta deal with her either way I see it. I'll be sure to keep you lovely people updated as I get the details.
