The scenery was dimly lit. The only light was a small lamp. Other than that lamp, there was a man who came with a bowl of porridge. The dim light shadowed his appearance or any way of seeing his face.

He had fire coming from one single finger. Once he reached his destination the fire from that single finger was put out. He took a chair and sat down facing a bed. It wasn't empty.

"I've brought porridge for you," he said smiling at the person laying sick in the bed. "Porridge again?" a weak female voice inquired. She sounded quite fragile. The man gave a sad smile.

"Stop complaining!" he said jokingly, his voice then lowered, "Besides it's the only thing you can eat in your condition."

One could here the sadness in his voice, "...but if you want me to. I can get something nice, like maybe pudding or a drink. Would that be better?"

His voice was soft and soothing, at least to her ears. That and he couldn't help but have such a tone of voice. How could he be so dense as to shout and grin ear to ear in this situation. This time and place.

"Yeah that would, but I don't want to be a bother," the women said in her weak and barley audible voice. She was dieing, it was obvious. The man was just delaying the inevitable. To be honest it pained him to come see her, but at the same time it brought relief to see her. He didn't know what else to do. He put her underground in a place where nobody could find her.

Where nobody could help her...

He didn't need help or at least that was what he told himself. "I'm not bothered with anything. No need to worry at all." he chuckled lightly.

While he was speaking to her he fed her spoon by spoon. How he managed to feed a sick women who didn't want to eat? He had no idea. They had conversations and had some laughs most of there time together. Or rather soft chuckles. He done most of the talking, as usual. "I'm full," she stated as her voice was barely audible. Her voice cracked as she spoke.

He looked at the bowl that was still filled with porridge. He gave her a forced smile. "You ate more than usual," he said still holding a forced smile. His eyebrows were creased when he looked directly into your eyes. It was half closed and showed no life to it.

It pained him to see his close friend like this. It really did.

She gave a small nod with a soft hum to notify she agrees. She smiled proudly her eyes were dull and lifeless. Her lifeless eyes complimented her pale skin. She was slightly skinny from her lack of consuming solid food.
