Jimin lived in one of the more dangerous parts of Seoul

Jimin lived in one of the more dangerous parts of Seoul. The part of Seoul where alphas walked around toting guns and claiming territory. The part of Seoul where the advise you to be inside by eight at night. The part of Seoul where anything goes, not even the cops can step in.

As much as the area terrified him, it had the most affordable apartments for Jimin, since he wanted to live on his own and go to college. Dorms were too costly, but these studio apartments were just right. It's not that the houses were dirty or trashy, they were actually too nice for the price, but, the area was so violent, landlords had to lower the prices to make people even consider living there.

Most people that stayed around Jimin were alphas and were reportedly in gangs. And here he was, a helpless omega, living alone, having no gang experience, and barely knowing how to fight at close-range.  His parents told him it wasn't a good idea and he should just stay home, but he denied that. He wanted to experience life on his own, have his own place.

Even if that place was in the middle of shark infested waters.

Jimin took morning classes to avoid staying out late and declined any and all offers to go to the club with friends. He made sure to grocery shop in the daylight hours, ensuring he stayed inside. He wasn't about to risk getting caught up in unnecessary gang violence.

Today was an uneventful Saturday, and Jimin was out shopping for some clothes. He walked home with bags in his hands, humming softly as he went, occasionally glancing over his shoulder to make sure no one was following him or going to attempt to rob him. He spotted a convenience store nearby his house and skipped towards it, wanting to get some snacks to eat while he watched a movie or something.

Inside the store, the cashier was nodding off, slumped against the chair he sat in. Jimin walked over to the chips and candy, scanning his eyes over some items before picking a few up, humming to himself. As Jimin did this, the entrance door to the store opened, catching Jimin's attention.

And he choked, all the air being sucked out his body.

A group of three men walked into the store. The one in front was shorter than the two behind him, but he looked very deadly despite his height and slim frame. His eyes, which could hardly be seen past his long, blonde bangs, were like knives, fierce gaze stabbing through whatever he looked at.

The second man was a bit taller, jaw sharp and wide set eyes filled with a dark aggression. His hair was dark brown and was parted down the middle.

And the last man...

He was the tallest, body almost completely proportionate, long and fit. His hair was undercut, hair on top dyed nearly platinum blonde. He had sharp eyes that seemed to radiate authority. He was the leader, it was very apparent. He turned his head and locked eyes with Jimin, and the omega quickly averted his eyes, suddenly interested in the bag of honey butter chips in his hand.

Jimin looked up once he thought the man had looked away, but ended up meeting his eyes again. His gaze was intense, something in them made Jimin's skin crawl and alarm shoot up and down his back. Jimin decided it was time for him to leave, quickly making his way to the counter to wake the cashier.

He checked out the store and quickly left, speed walking to his apartment so he would feel safe.

That was terrifying. Why was the man staring at him so intensely? It was bone chilling and he didn't like it at all. Once inside his home, he made sure he locked the door, at least, five times, then stared out his window, checking to make sure the man hadn't followed him. After he was absolutely sure he hadn't been followed, he went over to his couch and plopped down on the seat, staring at the TV that wasn't even on.

Jimin couldn't think of a reason as to why the man had been staring at him. Did he think Jimin was trespassing on his territory? Maybe he saw Jimin as an easy target. The omega's skin crawled, pressing his lips together in fear. Maybe it was better to be in debt in student loans and live in a dorm than live along in a dangerous neighborhood. However, it was too late to request to stay in a dorm, so he had to wait until next year. He just had to be extra careful.

But careful can only do so much.

Should he take self defense classes? But, when would he have the time for that? Online could work, he supposed, but in person would be more effective. Maybe he should get a roommate. But, who would be crazy enough to live in this neighborhood with Jimin?

The only other option was to move back in with his parents. His parents would certainly feel more at ease with him there, and, as much as he didn't want to admit it, Jimin would certainly feel safer.

He sighed deeply, slumping in his seat. He'd have to start making moving arrangements.

Next weekend.

Jimin spent his afternoon doing laundry and cleaning around the house. Afterwards, he made himself dinner and watched TV until he got sleepy. He went to his bed and fell asleep.

And, not even twenty minutes later, he was woken up by shouting and gun shots. He thought he even heard a woman scream.

Tomorrow. He'd definitely make moving arrangement tomorrow.
