Kung figure of speech din lang ang pag-uusapan, 'yan na siguro ang isa sa pinakagamit na salita for simile and metaphor.

In typical Language/Reading quizzes, pag sinabing "sunshine", automatic na ang isasagot mo ay pwedeng connected sa happiness o para sa mas malalim na kahulugan, isang taong nagbibigay ng pag-asa sa'yo ang matatawag mong "sunshine."

Pero ako?

Kahit kailan hindi ko inisip na kaya kong palitan ang pronoun na YOU sa mga sentence na may salitang SUNSHINE sa dulo o basta part ng isang sentence.

At mas lalong hindi ko inisip na balang araw, someone would tell me those similes and metaphors.

Para kasi sa'kin, I'm not capable of making other people change and thus, making them feel happy.

Kahit na,

Kahit na bago siya mawala,

He told me those things that I know, I could never forget.

"My princess, please promise me that someday.. Someday, you'd become the sunshine for someone."

That statement from him always run in my head.

I know that I wasn't able to assure him that I'd do what he told me to do.

I know I didn't tell him that I would keep that promise and I kinda regret that.

But as I remember him and that promise, I did swear that the time would come,

the time would come that someone would proudly say that,

"D*mn. She is my sunshine."
