Mad Love

Chapter 1

With a bored eypression and my earphones plugged in, I walked down the old hallways of my school.

I only had one period left, but unfortunately it was spanish.
I hoped it would be over as soon as I realized it had even begun.

I was on my way to my locker, when suddenly my phone slipped from my hands and landed on the floor with a loud noise. My earphones landing on the floor as well.
The few students in the hallway looked at me strangely and I noticed a blush creeping up my cheeks.

Embarrassed, I picked up my phone and nearly ran to my locker.
I could see my best friend, Rose, standing at my locker and wating for me from afar.
Also, She looked at her nails with a bored expression, her curls hiding her face.

As I reached her, She looked up and smiled at me casually.
"What's up, Ny?" she said.
I only gave her the 'you know what, so shut up' face and put my books in my locker.
As I was going to put my spanish books inside my bag, Rose had already snatched the books from my hands.

"What do you think you're doing? We're bunking today. We need to get ready for tonight. We need to go to the mall!"  She said in a 'duh' tone.

I forgot to mention that a guy from college is having a party tonight. And Rose is super hyped to go there. I on the other hand am not so excited. I was never the type of girl that likes to party every weekend. But when Rose wants something, she'll get it. She'd find her ways to get what she wants anyways. So saying yes to this party was the less painful way.

As I was dragged outside I concentrated on my surroundings, but unfortunately I tripped over something and nearly fell down to the floor.
Rose huffed but when I looked up I noticed the same students from before, looking strangely at me. Again.
I smiled awkwardly and waved to them, as I focused on getting out of school as soon as I can.
When we finally came outside I saw Carter's Truck and him leaning against it.
Rose and I happily made our way to get to him.

Carter hugged me, "So, you're skipping with us, dork?"

"Nonvoluntary. She forced me, I had no other choice." I said dramatically, clinging to Carters Hoodie. "Help me" I whispered again but loud enough for Rose to hear.

I laughed as an empty water bottle hit my head.
"Get in. Now. And don't tell lies, grandma!"

Carter laughed histerically as he climed inside his car. "What, grandma? You're so sweet, Rose" He said between laughs.

And soon, we were on our way to the mall.
Singing to random songs that came through the radio and eating skittels the whole way.
I loved times like these, I enjoyed them.

We were in the mall for nearly an hour, when finally I made my way out of the changing booth with an outfit that made me feel comfortable.
It was a white off shoulder bodycon dress, with lace and long sleeves.

Rose's mouth was wide open, as well as Carter's.

"Does it not look good?" I asked as my friends said nothing the whole time.

"Damn, Ny! You look gorgeous! You have to buy it!" Rose was the first to speak. Carter just stared at me further.

"Carter, what do you think?" He snapped out of his thoughts and stammered, "Um, yes.. you-should buy it! You look awesome, Nyla."

And that was all Rose needed to hear.
"Let's gooo!! Make-Up time at my house!" The smirk on her face was clear to see. It made me nervous.

"This Party better be good, or I'm never going to one again!"
