Chapter 6

KATES POV

I woke up and get up. My legs were like jello. I laid back in bed and woke Mikey up.
"Wanna go out for breakfast?" He said sitting up.
"How? I cant walk." He smirked at me and kissed me.
"Sorry babygirl" we smirked at each other and he helped me up. I went to the bathroom and got in the shower. I wash everything and go back to my room. I walk in and see Mikey getting dressed. I wear one of his shirts ive taken from when we were friends and a pair of shorts. I put my hair in a messy bun and go without makeup for the day. I slip my feet into flip flops and mikey and I go downstairs. I feel eyes on me. As I walk towards the kitchen Jake walks up to me and stops me.
"Why is there a hickey on your neck?"
"Cause"
"Y'all fucked last night huh?" Jake said looking between Mikey and I. His jaw was clenched.
"Obviously they did Jake" Dk said butting in. He just looked at me disgusted.
"Dont fucking look at me like that" I said staring at Dk like he was to me, "cause you know you'd do the same thing. You're just jealous cause its not you." He just walked upstairs.
"Why are you being such a bitch?" Jake snapped at me.
"Why are you acting like my dad?"
"Oh maybe because I'm two years older than you and im the one that takes care of you. Oh and Mike you can go home." Mikey kissed my cheek and left. I went upstairs and went to my room. I sat on my bed thinking about what I said. How harsh I was towards Dk. I went over to his room and knocked.
"Who is it?" I heard through the door.
"Its me"
"I don't wanna talk to you"
"Please." The door opened and there stood Dk. He let me in and we sat on the bed. "I'm really sorry for what I said to you. It was so ignorant and wrong for me to say it. Especially the way I said it. Im sorry Dk I really am." He let me hug him.
"What you said was right. I wish it was me loving you like that. But I see how happy you are with Manfs and I seen how happy you've made him. You two deserve each other and I'm perfectly fine with that. Im fine with being your best friend." We hugged. It lasted forever. I felt so happy and warm. Do I still have feelings for Dk?
I went back to my room and texted Mikey

Hey babe. What happened after I left?
Dk and I talked it out. Now we're besties. That doesn't bother you does it?
No why would it. We could all be besties together.
Yay. Alright Dk wants to go get lunch with Jake and I. Ill talk to you later bbboy ♥️

I met Jake and Dk downstairs and Jake drove to a little diner. I sat in the back cause Dk called shot gun. I watched out the window drowning out the music. We got to the diner and got out.  Jake hugged me.
"Im sorry for what I said and how I acted earlier" I smile and look around the parking lot. A car catches my eye.
"Hey Jake isnt that Mikeys M4?" He looked over to where I was looking.
"Yea it is" he looked down at me.  I went into the diner. I was pissed. Jake was right behind me. I spotted him. We made eye contact and his mouth dropped. I walked over to him.
"Really Mike?"
"Let me explain" he said standing up. I put my hand up stopping him and walking away.
"Really Mikey?" Jake yelled at him.
"Im here with my mom she dyed her her hair (AN IDK IF SHE DOES. ITS FOR THE BOOK) and I was asking her what kind of promise ring I should get your sister." Mikey said looking at me. Claudene turned around and looked to me. My heart sunk.
"You thought I'd cheat on you? Do you not trust me?"
"Mikey I-" he walked around me and went outside. I went out right behind him. I grabbed his arm and he turned around.
"I do trust you but my heart broke when you didnt even say you were gonna be here and I saw your car." He put his thumbs on my chin and kissed me. He pulled away soon after and we hugged.
"I love you" he said in the hug.
"I love you too." We hugged each other tighter. After a while we went back inside to be with everyone else.
"You two alright?" Jake asked with his eyebrows raised. We nodded and Mikey kissed my temple. We sat down across from each other. It was Dk Jake and I. Then Mama Manfs and Mikey on the other side. I put my head on Jakes shoulder and Mikey took a picture. We ordered and ate. Mikey took Mama Manfs home and then went to my house. We went up to my room cuddling and soon falling asleep in the middle of the movie.

JAKES POV

I walked into my sisters room cause it was really late and there was a light on. I see her and Mikey asleep and cuddling. Ive never seen the two of them so happy. I turned her tv off, lightly kissing the top of her head and going back to my room. I laid down, wrapping my arm around Ashley, and falling asleep.

DKS POV

I walk out of the bathroom. All the lights were off in the house. I walk back to my room and shut off the tv and my computer. I laid down in bed grabbing one of my pillows. I wrapped my arms around it and put my head on one of my other pillows soon falling asleep.
