I 🆎solutely love this picture of Mark! He looks so serious plus it fits the chapter name..... Anyways enjoy the story my fellow potatoes 🥔
"OMFG! You have healing powers?" I yell-whispered. Mark slowly nodded his head, and put a finger to his lips. 'That's so dope' I thought. "I can also read minds. Since day one of your arrival, I've read your mind. Every thought that you and Lily have....I can hear. Every single dirty thought." Mark said, leaning close to my ear. I felt my cheeks light up in flames.....remembering what I thought about on the first day."Wow...Okay. Well we should definitely head back." I said walking ahead of him. I walked in the classroom and received a very confusing look from Lily. I quickly sat down and whipped out my phone(under the table this time)and shot her a very reassuring text.
You: "Hey, I forgot to tell you, I got a suspension yesterday, and Mr. Fischbach wanted to talk to me about at home teaching."
Lily: "Ooohhh! An entire day with that sexy son of a bitch?"
You: "I'm not looking forward to it at all."
'I'm totally looking forward to spending time with Mark.' I thought. Mark's head immediately shot up, with a smirk and a wink. I almost forgot he could read minds.
Lily: "Lol girl I wish I was you."
You: "No you don't."
Mr. Fischbach drones on in class talking about a World War Two.(My favorite topic)James and I shared a few glances. He was clearly excited about our date after school. The class went by exceptionally quick. I said a quick goodbye to Lily and was about to head out of class when I was stopped by Mark. "Hey, I know this really great pizza place near the school. Would you be interested in going there with me?" He asked. I was about to speak when James rested a hand on my shoulder. "Actually I have plans." I said.
Mark's face fell and he turned away from us. "Oh....hey I was hoping I would get to walk you to your next class, if that's alright." James said. "Since when do you start acting like this towards girls? You have never once offered to walk anyone to their class. Normally, it's the other way around when it comes to you." I said, pushing his hand off my shoulder. "Y/n, I really like you. I don't really want this date to be a one time thing. You're unlike any girl in this school. You're gorgeous, intelligent, special, and really talented. If this date goes well, will you consider taking things a step further?" James said, staring deep into my eyes.
I glanced back at Mark, knowing he heard everything. He had his back turned, and was doing something. I couldn't tell how he was feeling about this. "If this date goes well, then yes I'll consider dating you, James." I said, with a slight smile. He smiled back and led me out of the classroom, to my next class. When that class ended, he was there to do the same thing. James did this for the rest of the day, except for my last class.
I left the school building and walked out to the parking lot, and saw James with flowers, and a very nice tuxedo. His hair looked even more annoyingly perfect than usual.
