My Heart is Yours

Chapter 1

"TOUR tour tour tour!" Taylor sang as we all waited to pile onto the bus we'd be living in for the next six weeks. I gave a sad sigh, "Guys we can't do this tour."

Four pairs of eyes looked at me in bewilderment. "Taylor isn't excited enough for it." I smiled, obviously I'm joking you idiots.

Zac breathed a sigh of relief and said. "Y'know I think your right." Then he moussed my hair making it a mess. I shoved him away from me and straightened out my red strands. Taylor started jumping up and down, "No no! I'm ready! I'm excited! Lets do this!!" He began punching the air like he was about to enter the ring.

I shook my head, "I cannot wait to be stuck on a bus with this craziness." I said sarcastically. "It'll be so much fun, why wouldn't you want to be driven crazy by that?"

Josh scoffed "You are his accomplice and you know it." He reaches over and pushed my shoulder. I shrugged, he was right. T and I always start trouble when we are together on tour. "Can we get going? I'm tryna sleep some more." Jeremy grumbled side stepping all of us and going up the steps to the bus.

"Preach it." I sang. It was midnight and we were all tired. I can't wait to get to my bunk. We all climbed in and found our usual places. I always picked front bottom right, it just made sense since I was the shortest one. Taylor was above me, and above him Zac, Josh took the bunk across from mine and Jeremy above his. Our tour director, Tony, slept in the top bunk.

I opened the curtain and breathed in the smell. Fresh, clean, for now. I climbed in and brought my large comfy blanket in with me. I snuggled into it and looked out as the guys set up their spaces.

Zac leaned down to look at me from his bunk, "Does a small girl like you really need that big ass blanket?" I faked offense and said, "Excuse me sir. I will have you know I am 5'2 and awesome. Every 5'2 awesome person needs a blanket this size."

Zac rolled his eyes and pulled himself back up to his bunk. Taylor was still dancing around the bus in excitement. "T, if you don't calm down I'm gonna have to tranquilize you." I warned peeking out at him.

He narrowed his eyes at me and skipped over and crawled in my bunk. He laid on top of me, squeezing the life from me. "What was that Hayley? I can't seem to hear you." I smacked him repeatedly, he was gonna kill me.

"Off." I managed to breath out trying not to laugh. Taylor messed up my hair then rolled out laughing. "Yeah that's what I thought you firetruck."

I groaned and fixed my hair, I looked over at Josh's bunk where he was looking at me and smiling. "Yeah laugh at my pain."

This only made his smile grow larger, "Welcome to the Brand New Eyes tour love."

"Thank you Anaheim! And good night." I bowed with the guys before stepping of stage.

We all went backstage to cool down. The fans were crazy for our first night, they always are. I pulled my sweat filled hair up into a pony tail and plopped on the couch. "That, was insanity." I breathed grabbing a bottle of water and chugging it down.

Josh laid down on the couch and put his head in my lap. "I need a fan," he gestured towards his head. "Right here." I laughed and grabbed a magazine and began to fan him. "Ah, that's perfect."

Jeremy took the opportunity to smack his hand on Josh's stomach making him grunt. "Stop taking Hayley away from fanning us." He gestured to Taylor, Zac and him.

I stood up. "Hey hey hey. What about me? Whose gonna fan me?" Taylor pretended to think for a moment. "You don't matter, you just sing. It's not that hard. Look I'll do it right now." He started to try and sing ignorance. Key word being try.

Josh held his hands over his ears, "Dude, you sound like you're a dying cat." Zac moved and covered Taylor's mouth with his hand.

"Don't quit playing guitar." I said to him feigning horror. Taylor made a face and put me in a headlock and then was giving me a noogie. "Take it back!" He yelled.

I was laughing while I tried to take him down by his legs. "No! I can't, I must protect the world from the dead cat screech!" He held on for about fifteen more seconds before letting go and pushing me to sit down on the couch.

"Thank you, I needed to sit down." I smiled taking a sip of water. "Can I please shower first when we get back on the bus?" I pleaded getting serious now.

"If you can beat me there." Jeremy grinned. That probably wouldn't happen, his legs are way longer than mine.

I groaned and stood up, "Pleaseeeee?" I begged slowly stepping towards the door that led the way to our bus. Jeremy noticed immediately what I was doing and stood up. I sprinted out the door as fast as I could and ran down a long hallway. I heard booming steps as the guys chased me down when I reached the door to outside. I made my way for our bus, yelling for our driver to get ready to close the door.

I heard footsteps get closer and I begged my legs to go faster. I saw a form run past me, Josh. When we reached the bus Josh was first there then me, Taylor, Jeremy and Zac. I groaned "Cmon you guys never let me go first. Isn't that the gentlemanly thing to do?"

Zac scoffed, "What are you a girl?" I looked down at my chest. Yup boobs are there. "Yup." Taylor chuckled and plopped down. "I am third."

I looked at Josh with a sad look. "Josh please. I was jumping around and dancing that whole hour and a half." I saw him bite his lip. "Please?" I asked giving him my best puppy dog look.

He groaned, "Fine." I jumped up and celebrated while the other guys protested. "Weak sauce man!"

"You weak human."
"I can't believe I'm related to you."

I laughed and wrapped my arms around Josh's neck giving him a hug. "Thank you! I love you." He reciprocated my hug and kissed my head. "I love you too."

"Oh stop the lovey dovey show please." Taylor gagged, "You've won this round Hayley." He glared at me and went through tour cabinets of food.

I smiled at Josh one last time before skipping into the bathroom. It wasn't big, by any means, but it was good enough for me as long as it had running water.
