"R-really?! I th-thought you liked E-E-Eddie." He says looking at me in shock. "No Eddie is the one who helps me with music." I say. "O-oh th-that explains wh-why you always s-sneak up t-to your room." He says. "You notice that!?" I ask. "Y-yeah ev-every time y-you did it R-Richie would a-always s-say you g-guys were g-gu-gonna make out. I-it made R-Richie die when Ed-Eddie would come out w-with his hair me-messed up." Bill says. "Oh yeah I would always ruffle his hair because it makes him mad." I say laughing. "Yeah I I I bet." Bill says smiling. "So you never answered my question." I say. "Yes one th-th-thousand t-times yes!" He says tackling me in a hug. "Woah isn't the girl supposed to say that?" I ask joking. He just hugs me tighter and I hug back smiling. "You know I'm glad you said yes, I was afraid I would have to kill Eddie because his song didn't work." I say. "I-Im gl-glad I s-said yes t-t-too." He says. I roll over to look up at the stars. The view is just breathtaking. Without all the light from the street lights or houses the view is just ten times better. "D-do you k-know any conste-tellations?" Bill asks breaking the silence. "Yep." I say. "W-w-which one i-is that?" He asks pointing to a constellation. "That's Scorpius, it's basically the constellation for the zodiac Scorpio." I say. We spend hours talking about the stars and I tell him the stories of the constellations. We eventually move into a tree and continue talking about the stars. "H-how do you k-know all this?" Bill asks. "I love astronomy." I say. "Th-thats cool." He said. "Yeah I guess... but I like sunsets better." I say. "Ye-yeah th-the-they are pretty, but the mi-mist is what's pretty all s-silver and g-gold." He says. "Nothing gold can stay." I say. "W-what?" He asks.
"Natures first green is gold
Her hardest Hue to hold
Her early Leafs a flower
But only so an hour
Then leaf subsides to leaf
So Eden sank to grief
So Dawn goes down to day
Nothing Gold Can Stay." I say.
"Wh-wh-where did you learn that?" He asks. "Well Robert Frost wrote it but I read it in The Outsiders. Ponyboy said it, remember? We saw the movie together?" I said. "Oh y-yeah." Bill says laughing. (Sorry about the Outsiders reference... actually I'm not sorry not sorry at all😐) I look down at my watch to see that it's 11:30. "Oh shoot Bill I gotta go Richie's gonna kill me!" I say jumping out of the tree. "B-but it's on-nly 11:30!" He exclaims. "I know but I told him I'd be home by 8:30 to work on a project... listen I gotta go see ya later Bill!" I call running to my house. "Bye R-robin."
