Dash woke up the next morning about as graceful as an elephant sloppily all over his bed. Sleep was hard for him, for a lot of reasons.

"I wonder what Tyler's last name is?" He mumbled to himself.

He allowed himself to ponder what it could possibly be, he also scrutinizes himself for not learning it yesterday.

Smith? Jackson, Richardson, Wright? What could it be? He thought to himself.

He felt so much relief thinking about him. Until he was hit by waves of guilt. It felt devastating. How can such a handsome yet adorable face dictate his life to that extent. And how was he going to explain that to his father. Was Violet always going to be his favorite. He couldn't blame her, she was just so strong, her will never wavered. She was able to be so elegant, yet so ferocious, it was a sight to behold. He could never be like her he thought.

So he got ready, dressed, and drove himself to school. He wondered what the day would bring.

But then English came around again. Nothing major happened, except for the fact that Dash spent every spare moment turning back to glance at the boy. But more than anything, for that entire hour he wanted nothing more than to know the boy's last name. The intrigue was killing him as he couldn't help but wonder.

His wonder would continue until the bell rung.

He was walking out of the door when he was approached by the other boy. They walked down the hallway together for about 5 feet until one of them said something.

"So hey dude, what's up?" Tyler said enthusiastically with a wide smile on his face.

"Um, hey." Dash replied, unsure how to continue the conversation.

"What's your next class?" Dashell said out of nowhere almost.

"Just math, what about you?" Tyler replied.

"Nothing, just science." He attempted to say casually, it came out more like a love sick blush.

"Nice. Imagine that, the Dash Parr in science. Must be a sight to behold."

"Yeah." Dash said with a pause, silently working up the courage to ask a question. He thought of how to say it while not seeming too, weird.

"By the way, what's your last name? Not to be weird or anything I'm just curious cause if you're calling me by my full government I should know yours. Right?" Every word he hoped wasn't as awkward as it sounded in his head.

Tyler smiled so far Dash thought it could reach the moon.

"No, that's not really weird at all. It's kinda nice, makes me feel like you care. I like the attention to detail, and low key organic attention in general. But anyway, hello Dash Parr, I'm Tyler Ash." He said extending his hand for a handshake.

Dash smiled, and his heart was bursting out of its seems.

"Hello Mr. Ash." He replied beaming happiness while shaking the other's hand.

Tyler's hand felt like...velvet, it was so smooth yet you could feel the rough patches which one could assume to be callus. His grip was firm, yet gentle. Like a giant holding a glass figurine, it felt pleasant, calming almost. He felt compelled to feel every detail, study every curve, and gaze at every color. He quickly grazed his thumb over the side of the other's hand just to feel for one more second.
