29 - "Good, see you tomorrow"

*Melissa's POV*

Zach and I were hanging out at my house. We had been best friends for a week now and practically hung out everyday. Today we were just watching YouTube videos together. Zach was acting weird though, like he was trying super hard to keep a secret.

"Zach, you're being weird," I said and turned off the YouTube video.

"Let's just not talk," Zach said and sighed.

"Is there something I don't know about?" I asked.

"There's just...well...I can't say it! I promised!" Zach yelled.

"Zach, I swear. You're going to keep a secret now?" I laughed.

"I have to. It'll be better if you're surprised," Zach said.

"What will?" I asked, trying to trick him.

Zach opened his mouth like he was going to say something but then closed it again. He looked at me and shook his head.

"I really got to go. Oh yeah, but I have to do my part. Let's hang out tomorrow over at my house around 3:00," Zach said.

"Your part for what?!" I asked.

"Will you be there?" Zach asked quickly, probably afraid he was going to say something about whatever was going on.

"Umm, sure," I shrugged.

"Good, see you tomorrow," Zach nodded, grabbing his jacket then practically sprinting out of my house.

That was weird. Then again though, when was Zach not weird.

(Time skip - Zach gets back home)

*Zach's POV*

"Hey, guys," I said and walked into the house.

"Did she agree?" Jack asked, basically running up to me.

"Yeah, calm down," I laughed.

"Good," Jack sighed.

"Don't jinx it, Jack. Zach, did you spoil the surprise?" Corbyn asked.

"No, I kept it a secret. She has no idea. She thinks she's just coming over to hang out," I nodded.

They all raised an eyebrow at me.

"I didn't tell her!" I yelled.

"If I found out you did then, Zach, I will never trust you again," Jack threatened.

"I didn't tell her! She has no idea!" I raised my arms in defense.

"Okay, good," Jack nodded.

Jonah threw me a duffel bag and I caught it. I looked at him weird then down at the duffel.

"What the heck, Jonah? Did you get me drugs?" I asked.

"No, it's a tux. We have to be fancy tomorrow. Something big is happening," Jonah said.

"Something big I feel it happening, out of my control," Corbyn sang.

"Corbyn, you aren't Shawn Mendes either," Jonah laughed.

"Fight me, Jonah," Corbyn said.

"I am the only one who fights people!" Jack spoke up.

"That's true though, don't mess with Jack," Daniel laughed.

"So, you sure Gabbie is okay with this?" Jonah asked Jack.

"We broke up. Again. I'm just a mess, literally. I hurt the only girl I've ever loved by getting back with a girl because I thought I still loved that girl but then I didn't. My life is just fucked but I made it that way. Anyway, what Zach said really pointed that out to me. Thanks for the wake up call, buddy," Jack said.

"All I said was that you weren't being yourself," I laughed.

"Which was true," Corbyn agreed.

"Way true," Daniel nodded.

"What you're planning though, Jack, is way you," Jonah said.

"Thanks for your guys' help on this too. I couldn't have done this without you guys," Jack said.

"The clichéness of that sentence is killing me," Daniel laughed.

"Anyway, let's just get your girl for you. Officially. And hopefully for the last time," Jonah laughed.

"I just...I'm so nervous," Jack shoved both hands into his pockets, "What if she says no?"

"Well, she has pretty much every right to. You just shouldn't worry about that though. You're putting yourself out there, officially making a decision. Just focus on that," Corbyn advised.

"Okay, I thought Jonah was the wise one but apparently it's Corbyn," I laughed.

"I guess I do deserve it if she says no. Let's just try to make this as perfect as possible though," Jack smiled to us. Then he ran away and started getting our house all set up.

Jack: Take that back, Jonah
Jonah: Okay, fine! Whatever! Their life, I guess they can just do what they want! However, I will say that Jack is an idiot.

**A/n: Next chapter will be the last one :( . I'm so sad, this story is almost to an end. I also changed the ending from what I originally had it as so yeah. I didn't plan this but I got inspired. So, yeah. Byeeee (see you in the next chapter which will be the last one and I'm actually crying)**
