Sadly pugs have terrible birth issues. pugs are Brachycephalic breeds
A brachycaphalic breed is a dog with a squished face that usually when they are born they have breathing issues.
Pugs also can have dental problems , skin issues and spinal deformities. Witch can also lead to death at birth of the mother and puppy's. Lots of pugs have small heads with is a higher risk of death but if they have big heads its a smaller risk of death.
That's not all if you send a brachycephalic breed on a plane there is a huge risk of it dying and only Qantas will accept bracycephalic breeds. At birth pugs and all brahycephalic breeds require more attention then most breeds and should be in eyesight at all times.
