LEAFPOOL'S POV
"Bye Crowfeather! I'll see you tomorrow!" Leafpool exclaimed happily as her and Crowfeather parted seperate ways. "Yeah uh- bye Leafpool..." he trailed off. Hmmm he didn't seem to happy to see me but that's his personality. At least I think so..*TIMESKIP OF LEAFPOOLS WISH AND BLAH BLAH BLAH YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENED*
After how the past days have been, with Leafpool giving life to her three kits, giving them away to Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw, and oh so much more, the only cat out there that could make her feel better was Mothwing. She padded to the riverclan border, mind racing with what's happened to her. She stood there and waited.
It felt like forever. She was longing to see Mothwing's beautiful triangular face to appear from the other side, her soft long fur rested against Leafpool's and her soft and soothing voice. It was taking too long so she turned away and started to walk, head held low
A rustle from behind Leafpool gradually got louder. A familiar feminine voice pounded through her ears. "Leafpool!" She immediately recognized it as Mothwing and jumped around in excitement. Leafpool ran up to her and pressed my head up against her chin and purred so loudly, the prey from all the lake could've heard, but she couldn't care less. Mothwing returned the affection with a rumbling purr aswell.
"Oh Mothwing, everything's been so stressful lately. I wish you could be with me every paw step the way. I feel so lonely without you!" The light brown cat purred loudly. Mothwing licked her forehead and meowed "Me too Leafpool..." there was a glint of something in her eyes. Jealousy? Sorrow? The only thought racing through her mind was, is she ok?
"M-Mothwing?" Leafpool asked nervously. "I don't mean to be all up in your business but, are you ok?" Mothwing froze and moved away slightly. "It's just that- I- I lo" she stared at the ground. Leafpool looked at the sky. It was getting late and she needed to return to her camp, her home. "Maybe we can address this... issue some other time. It's getting late" Leafpool said before flicking her tail in farewell. Mothwing nodded and walked back to her share.
MOTHWING'S POV
I can't believe I didn't tell her how I felt about her. How I've always felt about her. I always knew deep down in my heart that her and Crowfeather wouldn't last, but I loved her enough to let her go. But the way he hurt her is beyond repair and I always wanted to be in Crowfeather's place...not only her friend but....as her mate.
TIMESKIP
Mothwing stirred in her sleep, the feeling of needing to get something off her chest. She stood up in the den and shook the moss off her golden pelt. She started to pad out into the clearing of the Riverclan camp. She stretched in the sun, its rays batting down on her pelt. Her muscles bunched as she arched her back. The suns rays turned her pelt bright yellow and she opened her mouth wide open in a gaping yawn. She blinked the sleepiness out of her eyes and walked to the camp entrance.Mothwing walked around the border of her territory for herbs. Her head was hung low and she walked slowly to a bush of herbs. She picked off some poppy seeds off the soft, bright green grass and started to walk in a random direction. She walked for awhile before she found herself at the border of Thunderclan.
She looked up and pricked her ears. She dropped the seeds down and started to sniff for any strange scents. More likely one in particular. She moved across, around and possibly everywhere she could until she gave up and padded back to her poppy seeds. She sighed heavily and picked up the seeds off the ground. She walked back and thought to herself, "The next time I see Leafpool, I'm going to tell her how I feel about her."
Leafpool's POV
As she was walking home Leafpool sat down in a patch of flowers. She couldn't get her mind if of Mothwing and her beautiful golden pelt. She sighed. It's weird. She thought to herself. I used to love Crowfeather but now there's this chemistry between me and Mothwing that I can't ignore. It's bad enough I had a forbidden love with Crowfeather but now Mothwing? What's wrong with me! She thought bitterly. She collapsed into the flower patch and blew her fur on her eye to the side. "Tomorrow I'm going to tell Mothwing how I feel about her." The brown she cat said to herself. She started to make it back to camp with the flower scent plastered on her fur.
She picked up her herbs and made her way to camp. The next day
Mothwing's POV
As soon as Mothwing woke up she dashed out the camp and to the Thunderclan border. Not caring how much noise she made.
Leafpool's POV
As soon as Leafpool woke up she hurried her way out of camp and to the border which was shared with Riverclan. She didn't care how distracting she was being.
Mothwing's POV
Not realizing how fast she was really going she ran into another cat. "Oof!" She squeaked. She caught herself on her paws and opened her eyes to see she had landed on top of no stranger. It was Leafpool. Mothwing's face grew hot and more red than a death berry. Leafpool was to blushing like crazy. "Oh my I'm sorry Leafpool!" Mothwing mewed nervously as she moved off of her. "No I'm sorry I wasn't paying attention." The young brown she cat meowed back. "So why are you here?" She asked Mothwing. Mothwing looked at her "What are you doing here how bout that?" She said with a playful look. Almost simultaneously the two she cats mewed rapidly "I have to tell you something." They stared at each other for a while. The silence lasting for eternity. "You first." Leafpool mewed quietly. Mothwing looked at the ground and shuffled her paws. "Well," she stalled. "I wanted to tell you that..." she trailed off. Leafpool looked at her. Then out of nowhere Leafpool rubbed her head under Mothwing's chin. "I love you too Mothwing." Her eyes widened. She looked at Leafpool in bewilderment. She purred louder than ever. "Leafpool I always loved you. When you were with Crowfeather I couldn't help but feel jealous and the way her hurt you, made me wanna claw his ears off." Mothwing finished with a long sigh. "I never thought you would ever like me back." Leafpool licked her ear. She turned to Mothwing. "I'm sorry you felt that way and you don't have to worry. Me and Crowfeather are basically a kits tale now. It's just me and you now. And since he won't take a part in helping our kits then I'll give that to some cat more trustworthy." She looked at Mothwing and continued "like you." She nuzzled her nose to Mothwing's and licked her cheek. The two cats sat there in the sun and purred away in a hugging position. All of the sudden she heard a voice sound from behind Leafpool and saw her sister Squirrelflight standing there in shock. "Again Leafpool?!" She yelled. Leafpool widened her eyes. "Oops." She meowed in alarm. "Got to go bye Mothwing!" Leafpool meowed quickly. Mothwing giggled. "See you next medicine cat gathering." Leafpool nodded in agreement before disappearing into the forest.
