Jaehui had her phone out but it was hidden by her jacket in her lap, so Hanbin couldn't notice she was on it. Her lips curved up at his message. She never expected him to reply back or feel bad. She wanted to help him out. He was her crush, it makes sense why she would help him so openly like that.
It didn't bother her. She didn't want him to fail. Hearing how he never finishes his homework anyways, this could probably help his grade. Class was starting and she didn't want to get caught, so she tucked her phone away and went on with her day.
After going over lessons the day was finally almost over. Now that she talked to Hanbin, she really noticed how he struggled in school. With as much money he's said to have, why not get a tutor or something? She shrugged to herself, putting her notes in her bag and pencils away too.
"Okay before we leave I want to let you know of a project we'll be having. You and a partner that I've selected will compare poems that we've gone over in class and make a PowerPoint slide together." Jaehui mentally rolled her eyes. She hated collab assignments. She always ended up doing all the work because she was shy to talk to her partner. If they asked her questions or she noticed something wrong she would talk normally, but she never dared starting or continuing a conversation.
"With that being said, you don't have to present if you are shy, but it knocks 20pts off your grade, so the highest you can make is an 80." Perfect. She thought. Her teacher was pretty nice to her, since she finished every assignment on time and she was quiet. He was more lenient to her kind.
"Right, I put in all the instructions on classroom and that's where you will find out who your partner is. Okay you can go back to socializing, the days over in about 5 minutes." Jaehui laid her head on her desk, I hope they do some of the work. I'll probably end up doing it all and the most work they do is add their name. She closed her eyes, waiting for the bell to ring so she could go home and sleep.
"Who's Jaehui?" Her eyes shot open, body frozen. She unlocked her phone going online to check if he really was her partner. No no no, why him? I mean thank you but WHY? Her fingers tapped around the screen fast looking for who she was assigned with. Kim Hanbin...
"Isn't it her over there?" Jaehui didn't dare look to their direction. She was at battle with herself right now. Mentally blowing herself up and mentally blowing her teacher up for not knowing any better.
Don't walk over here. Just don't. Why aren't you listening to me. Why can't this once communicate to him so he just- oh crap, shit, fuck he's really walking over here I'm gonna blow myself up now! Jaehui was having the biggest world war inside at that moment. She never talked to him to his face, what if she said something stupid? She was afraid of maybe stuttering or crying.
"Are you... Min Jaehui? I'm Kim Hanbin" he smiled to her, putting his hand out to greet her. She took it shakily, "yeah, I am..." was all she could manage, with a small smile back.
He let go, "so when do you want to start? I looked over it and it doesn't seem like that much work." Damn I have to actually talk to him now...What do I say? What does he want me to say? Jaehui was at her own head now. "Uhhmm, well I haven't read it yet so I don't know..." he just smiled to her, "that's fine. Tell me what you want to do tomorrow then. Bye!" She waved a bye to him and he was off with Jinhwan.
She felt her chest beating rapidly and wanted to hold it tight to stop. She gathered her things leaving the class room. I'm gonna die.
