P.S. this story will get steamy. childern under the age of 18 should not be reading this. i am worning you now.

I looked out the window again for a different hotel. I had to find one quick or else we would be caught in this storm. I finally decided on a motel 8 and pulled into the parking lot as the blinking sign looked down at me. I looked in the back seat at the little girl sleeping. she was a mixture of me and her father with bright golden eyes and brown hair. she looked amazing. her skin was dark from the Florida sun, and rose couldnt have wished for a better little girl, but they were now in Colorado right now. they  had had to run, but I didn't want to think about that right now, so I pushed  that to the back of my mind. if i thought about that i would break down and i couldn't do that now, not in front of luna. when i broke down i would be by myself.

I walked around the old Chevy truck that I had stole and took my little girl out of her car seat which in turn had  her up and made her cry. i settled her down with soothing word while i rubbed her back she finally quieted down and looked up at me with those golden eyes. she gave me a small smile,  so i  proceeded to walk into the office.

the front office of this motel 8 was a very small room, that had dark green colors all over the walls. but the room had no life in it at all. my little girl, Luna, looked up to me and said "mommy it smells in here." that immediately put a bright smile on my face as I told her "yes, yes it does."

I walked to the front counter and rang the bell. we waited a few minutes and then watched as an old weathered man came out. he looked up at us with a smile on his face and said "how can I help you too wonderful women tonight?" Luna next to me giggled and said "I'm not a woman I'm just a little gir.l I'm only this many." I watched as Luna held up eight fingers on her two little hands. i watched as a big grin spread across the desk clerks face. " no of course not. but you are a very big girl. so will it be just one room tonight?" i smiled and tried to hide my giggle at there banter. i shook my head yes. he seemed like a very nice old man. he handed me a key that said room 229. i smiled and told him that i could find it on my own.

we walked out side and up the stair to our room. it was the first one by the stair case which i thanked our goddess for. i unlocked the door and walked inside. it was a small room with one bed that looked like it was from the 60's and that that was when it had seen better days was in the 60's. the room was very light in color the walls were tan and the carpet was a deep red color. there were lights that were poster on the wall and a picture of the beech which i giggled considering there was not that many around us. i grabed the top balnket and pulled it off the bed. i layed Luna down on the bed and began to protect the room. i went and called on all five elements and brang them to the circle. i sat in the middle of the circle and began my chant that my grandma hand taught me so long ago.

"By the dragons light

On this  night

I call to thee

To give me your might

By the power of three

I conjure thee

To protect all

That surrounds me

So mote it be

So mote it be!!"

i just sat there for a minute. it had been so long since i had done good spell. i let the feeling of warmth and protection and the smell of lavender swirl around me. with a sigh i closed the circle and went to check on my daughter. she was fast asleep. i went out to the truck and grabed our bag and ran back the room. she was still there the way i left her. i took out her stuffed wolf. i had it enchanted by a mage and it now smell of campfires and the ocean which helped pull her in to a deep sleep. she sighed into and fell into a deeper sleep. i smiled at this and was happy my baby girl was finally getting some sleep. i went and layed down next to her and finally got the first sleep i had got in 72 hours.
