Chapter one - EMERGE OUT OF THE SHADOWS

It was 3:30 and school had finished half an hour ago, kaneki was obviously going to be at the coffee shop and I was now about to buy a cup of black coffee just to get a final glimpse of him before I went home...

I do this everyday to satisfy my craving for him.

And at least twice a week I get a chance to speak to him... I always fail.

I can never pluck up the courage to just speak to him like a normal human being...

He once asked me if I could move my head when I sat in front of him and I had to be excused because I was having an "anxiety attack" 🙄

Everyday I could just end my suffering and speak to him... but I don't have the guts.😭

I was now at the coffee shop window staring at kaneki through the glass, knowing that I will never get closer to him than this in my life.

I look down at my feet as my eyes begin to well up.

"IM SUCH A WIMP!"

I scream as I try to run off.

before I get further than three steps a girl with bright purple hair stops me with a welcoming smile on her face holding a fresh cup of black coffee

"Aren't you gonna order?"

She says beaming at me

"I have your usual, a black coffee with two sugars right?"

I nod slowly as her smile fades into a smirk

"Well come inside and finish."

She puts her free arm over my shoulder and takes me in with her to find a seat

"I see somethings on your mind huh?"

I nod again, why is she being so nice?

"If u don't mind too much you can tell me, I might just be able to help u."

"Well okay... I'm not going to go too far into details but there's this boy I really like and I'm way too much of wimp to even look at him while he looks at me back! I just feel so invisible around him and it's partially my fault because I never even try to interact with him !"😭

"That's some deep stuff on your shoulders, why don't you get someone else to talk to him for you?"

"I'm too shy for that as well,l and I have shy friends so none of them would even consider talking to someone as hot as kaneki... oops" 😫

"So that who you've been talking about this whole time huh?"

I slowly nod

"All I can say is that he's a good one, when u get him don't break him... Also this coffee is on the house, take it if u please"

She looked down at the coffee and walked away

And as she disappeared behind the counter kaneki and his best friend hide left as well...
