Bloodstain

Colton dived towards me and managed to catch me before i hit the floor. That terror alone was enough to sober me up and i looked at the now empty room.
'What the hell is going on?' I asked Colt as i made my way towards the back door.
'I have no clue' He replied following close behind.
We made our way into the backyard and pushed through the crowd towards our group.
Brooke was hugging into Tyler, sobbing. Armani and Lex were just behind them, holding eachother.
As i pushed past the last person i was met by a horrific sight.
Jen was lying, sprawled out across the floor. Large gashes covered her head to toe, a few of her fingers were missing and her face was.. was..
I span around and threw up on the floor. I grabbed for Coltons hand and he rubbed my back soothingly.
'Someone call an ambulance!' Sebastian yelled out into the crowd.
Most people just ran out, only our group remained with Armani calling the police.
'Oh my god' Colton said turning away from the body to look at me still puking up my alcohol, moving my hair out my face.
Suddenly all the lights went out in the house, including the fairy lights that were spread across the garden. We were plunged into darkness.
Brooke screamed as i heard a whimper and a few confused 'what's and 'huh's.
I wiped my mouth with my forearm and looked up at where the fairy lights used to be glowing.
I grabbed Coltons sleeve once again, making sure he stayed close.
I stared into the darkness as we all stood in silence for a second, unsure of what to do.
Suddenly the sliding backdoor slammed shut behind me. I span around so fast im surprised i didnt get whiplash.
My eyes hadnt ajusted to the darkness properly but i managed to make out a sillohoutte standing the other side of the door.
I stared at it in shocked, trying to make out what it was. Was it my eyes playing tricks on me? I could see something moving, possibly its arm. It was lifting it up. It looked like it was holding something.
'Armani?' Colton called out.
He moved from next to me so i couldnt hold his arm anymore. I turned to where he was standing just a few moments ago.
Just as i did the glass of the door exploded out towards me. I screamed followed by everyone else, pulling my hands up to my face to block my eyes.
A large force clashed with my stomach as i fell to the ground, a weight holding me down. My hands were pealed from my face and as i opened my eyes i was met with a horrific clown mask staring back at me.
I screamed in terror but a hand immediately covered my mouth.
He pulled in closer so his mouth was by my ear.
'Penelope!' I heard Colton cry out.
I could hear him breathing.
'Welcome to Crimson Falls Bitch. You waltz into this town like you own the place and expect everyone to kiss your ass. Wrong. Now you.. and your friends.. will pay.'
'What the hell is going on?' Sebastian said.
He pulled away and went back to staring at me, his face a few inches from mine. He reached down beside his leg which made me squirm.
As he pulled his arm back up he held a knife infront of my face.
I panicked and started pushing him and trying to pry myself out from underneath him but nothing worked.
Wait.
Sirens.
I can hear the sirens.
Thank god.
I closed my eyes for just a moment, relief flooding in from hearing those sirens.
I opened my eyes as i felt his hand push down on me as he pushed himself up.
'Adios assholes' he said aloud as he flicked the lights back on. He stood above me, now visible to the rest of the group.
Brooke screamed and hid behind Tyler.
Everyone was in shock.
He turned back to the house and began walking away when he stopped.
'One more' He said in a loud whisper. He whipped around a dived at me, plunging his knife deep into my stomach.
I gasped in pain, looking up at him.
He tilted his head to the side then yanked the knife out.
I screamed and automatically pulled my hands to my wound.
'PE! Colton screamed, running at the guy.
The masked man stood and held his knife out, stopping Colton in his tracks. The man took a few slow steps back then turned and ran into the house and out of our view.
'Penelope!' Colton cried out, kneeling down beside me and placing his hands on top of mine on my wound.
'Colton. Oh my go.. im bleeding.. i cant brea.. i dont wanna die.' I blurted out, panicked and quickly losing the energy to talk.. and breathe.
'You're not gonna die' Colton replied, worry infecting every word.
'Just hold on for me, okay? Help is almost here'
I stared up at him. I could see how scared he was, but i could also see that he was trying to hide that from me, so i wouldnt be so scared.
The sirens were very loud now, every sound filling my head. Everyone was crowding round me, it was very claustrophobic but it warmed my heart that they all cared enough at the same time.
Sebastian began moving my hair from my face and stroking my forehead. It felt so soft, gentle.
I heard some car doors. Help was here.
Colton squeezed my hand, and applied more pressure to my wound making me wince in pain.
'You're gonn ....e..kay'.
You're go.....o be fi..'.

The world was spinning, and pulsing in and out of focus.
And just like that, everything went dark.
