Kept thinking about you, all day. As soon as the bell rang signalling your arrival, I ran to meet you, with hope, love and happiness in my eyes. "How was your day?" I greeted you.
You shrugged and said, "Usual" and went towards the bedroom. I smiled and waited in anticipation to watch your reaction. I heard your laugh and decided to join you. Your expression told me, my mission was successful. You had a beautiful smile on your face when you hugged the soft furry teddy bear.
"Day is not usual anymore, is it?" I asked looking at you.
You approched me with the biggest smile and to my surprise a few drops of tears on your cheeks.
"It is the best day, with you nothing is usual, I have to say". You bent down on your knees and hugged my stomach. Slow and happy tears flowed down my cheeks.
"I love you and hope to become a great father. You are the miracle of my life, and so will be our child. I loved the surprise", you said looking into my eyes and wiped all the tears away.
"I just wanted to see that happy smile on your face, so I planned to do this. I love you too and don't worry, you will be the best father".
You smiled and read on the wall again, "Hello Daddy", written and said, " Daddy, wow sounds so good."
I hugged you from behind and said, " Daddy, I am hungry. Let's have dinner?"
You burst out laughing, your back vibrating against my cheek. You turned and pulled me in your arms, carried my to the dining room.
"Of course let's have dinner".
I smiled and blushed when you looked at me from across the table. You extended your hand, "I love you", you said and kissed my knuckles.
"I love you more", I replied. The thoughts, the doubts, the tension everything leaving my body, replacing your love and warmth, assuring me everything is good in the world.
