Oh, moon so bright,

And, sun so high,

I wish and I pray with all my might,

That one day we need not say goodbye.

I know we must,

Just maybe not so soon.

In God I trust

To keep them safe, oh, sun and moon.

To be so keen for one my age,

I have sadness in me.

Sometimes in the past even rage.

Sun and moon, no longer shall that be.

In seeing such love and such care,

I feel no regret for what I now share.
