Vampire Knight (Fan Fiction) Vol. 6 Chapter 25 The Vampire Soiree

Yuuki’s POV:

“Sorry. It’s nothing.” Zero said. “Um…ok…yeah.” I said my heart beating fast. Zero? Just a second ago…you were going…to kiss me. What the?! Why?! I blushed deeply. Zero tightened his grip on my arm and looked me in the eyes. “I’m not…myself…I woke up from a nightmare. I was half asleep.” He said. “Oh…ok.” I said. “I understand…stop glaring at me.” I said nervously. If that’s what happened then…it didn’t mean anything as they say. That must be it! He likes Mizuki! “I’m almost finished. Thank you for coming.” Yori says bringing me back to reality. “No problem! I didn’t have anything to do anyway.” I say cheerfully. “You’ve been acting weird all day…and avoiding Zero and Mizuki…I’ll treat you to ice cream and interrogate you later. I know when you act like this its because of Kuran or it’s Zero. Really I’m not worried about Kaname-“ She says. “Yori I see you keep your distance from the night class. I think that’s good.” I say. She’s quiet for a while. “I think they’re kina scary…” She says holding her things she bought from the market. Suddenly a hand grabs my arm. “I want my mommy!” A small voice says. I look at Yori. “Is he lost?” she asks. “Uhm…did you lose your mom?” I ask. He nods his head wiping away his tears. “Take…take me to her!” He says. “Yori I’ll help find his mom. Finish your shopping.” I tell her and let the child lead me. “Is she close by?” I ask.

Zero’s POV:

“Here Zero. It’s an order from the society. You are to monitor the Vampire Soiree. It’s nearby.” The chairman says. I pick up the note and read it. “It’s a party of moderates…so there shouldn’t be much trouble.” He says. “All right. I’m going.” I say. “And Mizuki will be there too. Her first vampire soiree since she’s awakened.” He says. It makes me feel a little better but also kind of nervous. I keep forgetting she’s also a pureblood…

Yuuki’s POV:

“Not in the clothing store? Are you sure we are going the right way?” I ask the kid. “Yeah. Just a little farther.” He says. “It’s fine. We’re almost there.” He says as I look around nervously. “We’ve left the main street. Is this really the place?” I ask. It’s an abandoned building? “Yes this is it.” He says. “Thank you miss. I was afraid to come by myself.” He says as his hood falls off. What a cute kid. “I don’t want to leave you alone…I’ll wait till your mom comes.” I say bending down to get a better look at him. “You’re so nice miss.” He says. One of his eyes is a different color… He kisses me on the cheek. ‘Thank you…” he says in my ear. “…Huh? This…” I say. What? Then I fall and everything goes black.

Aido’s POV:

Night falls…”Hanabusa.” Kain says. ‘What is it Akatsuki?” I ask. “Yuuki Cross is lying unconscious on the ground here.” He says. Kaname walks past us. “What a troublesome girl.” He says.

Mizuki’s POV:

I find a dress to wear to the soiree. My first soiree…I’m finally coming out of the “closet” as they would say. I’m going to show the world of night that I’ve returned. When did this new game start?

Yuuki’s POV:

I’m so weak…I can’t open my eyes. I get my eyes open and look around. Hm? Oh…Where am I? I see Kaname sitting next to me. “Good…your awake now.” He says. It’s Kaname! I sit up quickly. “Ah…” I say. My head…so dizzy. I fall into his out stretched arm. “Oh…thanks…” I say blushing. “I thought you weren’t going to speak to me.” He says coldly. Aaah! I remember what I had said to him. “Uhm…I meant if you stopped suspecting Zero…then…” I say not really knowing what to say. “I did jump to conclusions. We did find the real culprit. But you think I wasn’t upset…when you said that.” He says as he strokes my face and puts his hands on my throat. “But…but it was your fault…Kaname…” I say trying to get my words out. “Don’t you see you made me act like that? I sensed your heart. It skipped a beat. So you do see.” He says then the door opens. “Now you come get me?” Kaname says as Takuma walks in. “Don’t treat me so badly…you are the one who finally agreed to attend a soiree. The head of the Aido family-the host-and all of the guests have been waiting for you, Kaname. Come on. Yuuki is awake now too.” He says smiling. I look up at the ceiling as they talk. It’s so pretty. “Oh…Yuuki why did you pass out?” Ichijou asks. “Right!” I say surprised. “We brought you here so the others wouldn’t see you. I called the academy but can you hide in hear for a bit? So…how did this happen?” He asks. “I took a lost boy to an abandoned building. He kissed me on the cheek…and…that’s all I can remember.” I say. “He must be a guest…a vampire child can take life energy from people. You’re in an underground mansion that was built underneath an abandoned building. It belongs to the Aidos’. And tonight there’s a party for vampires who live under this area. There are many nobles here right now. If they know you are here you’ll be in a lot of danger.” He says.
