You stare at the stage mindlessly as you wait for the program to begin. The recital and the dance competition are going to be on the same day, and Hyuck has invited you to watch.

It has been weeks since Donghyuck's confession, but you haven't given him a reply yet. Nothing changed after that. You still hanged out and talked to like you used to, as if the confession didn't happen at all. Truthfully, you were relieved that everything is still normal.

You sat on the first row near the stage, where you can see everything up close. Finally, the curtains open to reveal the emcee for the recital. You learned that Donghyuck will be playing 4th out of 6 pianist.

There were empty seats beside you, which you assume for Hyuck later and the others; but you were completely wrong when you see Jisung with his friends round up in the corner to sit down on the empty seats beside you.

Your eyes surprisingly met Jisung's and you look away quickly, acknowledging his undesired presence. He takes the seat next to you, his other friends occupied the other empty seats. Their faces were familiar, but you didn't know any of their names besides Chenle.

The first pianist makes their entrance and you struggled to make yourself calm and collected beside your ex-boyfriend. You can feel his eyes staring at you, but you didn't have the guts to tell him off, your thumping heartbeat wasn't helping either.

Glancing around the hall for any unoccupied seats, you desperately wanted to get out of here. You were already planning on making a distraction so you could get out of the awkward setting, but Jisung's voice made you freeze.

"Y-you're not going to play?" Jisung. It has been a while since you last heard his voice. It made your heart pound faster and louder.

You only shake your head, "I don't play anymore. I quit the club," you answered, slightly glancing at him.

Jisung seem shocked learning that you stopped playing the piano and you had quit the club. It looks like he was about to say something, but decided not to and only nodded his head. Disappointed but relieved, your muscles relaxed quite a bit, but your pounding heart didn't.

There was a loud sound that came from the pianist on stage. The audience gasped from the mistake, and you take the opportunity to leave while everyone is distracted. You quickly made your way outside of the theatre hall, and went somewhere you can inhale fresh air. Your thumping heartbeat was still raging inside your chest, and it has no plans on stopping. Out of all the seats available, Jisung choose to sit next to you.

Wasn't he avoiding you for all these months since your break-up? So why?

"Are you okay?" you froze with the sound of the voice.

It was the voice of a person you know so well. He shouldn't have followed you here. He shouldn't be here at all. He shouldn't be asking that question. "Why are you here?" Is what you want to say, but nothing came out.

"Please don't concern yourself with me, I'm good," you didn't try to meet his eyes nor look at his face. You keep your back turned against him. Why now? Why did he decide to talk to you now that you're finally moving on and getting used to the absence of his presence?

"I want to talk to you."

"Please don't. I know already," you answered, biting your lip as you felt the familiar stinging sensation in your chest. "I was the one who broke up with you, so what do you want to talk about?" you asked, and harshly turned around to look at him.

You stood frozen in your place when you see him standing in front of you with his blue hair, gently swaying with the breeze. His eyes were puffy and red, with his tears staining his flushed cheeks. The sight alone made you stop breathing and makes you want to engulf him to a tight hug, but you stopped yourself.

With shaky hands, he pulls you into a tight embrace that made your breath hitch in your throat. He buried his face in the crook of your neck and felt his tears dampened the area on your shoulder. You feel his body shaking as he cried, and with that you couldn't help but cry too.

The familiar tune echoed from the theatre, it made your heart sting as the memories you tried to forget came flooding your mind. It made you cry harder and Jisung's embrace got tighter. This time you wrap your arms around Jisung. His body warmth made you feel at ease, it made you comfortable, it made you feel like home.

"I endlessly dreamed
Of you saying, let's start again
In the end, if you say that to me
I would live in this dream"

You heard Donghyuck sing while playing the piece that you desperately try to forget along with the memories.
