Chapter 1

Scarlettes P.O.V

Today was the day Christmas break started and dad was finally coming home from the Marines! I missed him so much.

I had just finished curling my hair when my mom yelled at me, "Scar, let's go your dad will be landing soon!" Turning off the curling iron, I slipped on my shoes and ran down the hallway and saw my mom waiting by the door. "I'm ready." I said smiling at her.

*Skipping a few hours ahead*

We all sat around the island in the kitchen, my dad said he had something important to tell us.

"What's up dad?" I asked as he sighed, rubbing his temples. He looked at me and my mom and finally spoke, "Girls, we have a few terrorist after us and we need to get out of Los Angeles and quick. Scarlette were sending you to live with your Uncle Billy until things clear up... That won't be for a while though. A few years at most." I didn't notice the tears streaming down my face until my mom wiped them away. I looked at my mom, "What about my friends? Our family here?!" My mom just shrugged her shoulders and said that they'd figure it out. "Now go pack your bags, please." My dad said to me with a hand on my shoulder.

I looked around my vacant room and tears started streaming down my face, I sure was gonna miss this place... "Scar! Come on please." I grabbed my keys an my bags, my parents got me a Jeep Wrangler for Christmas a few days ago. Yeah, hard to believe they were letting a 16 year old drive this far. I walked out of my room slowly taking in every last detail and was finally on my way to La Push.

Yeah I was being forced to drive all the way there, by myself! My parents were to scared of someone shooting down the plane if I were to take one. I laughed to myself thinking about my crazy parents.

After a few hours I finally made it to Washington, I decided to call my Uncle Billy to tell him I'd be there soon. "Hi uncle Billy, I just made it to Washington just wanted to let you know id be there soon!" I heard him laugh on the other end. "That's great dear! I won't be here when you get her but Jacob will be, you'll be spending the day with him and his friends."I sighed, "That sounds cool! I guess I'll see you later. Bye!" I hung up, driving a bit faster because I was excited to see my cousin Jake.

I pulled up to a small red house and saw a group of tall,tan, and lean guys. They all looked up when I pulled up, I saw Jake get a big grin on his face as he started to run out towards my car.
