The sun was long gone. The doctors insisted the Avengers go home and rest, reminding them of Peter's worry for their health if they stayed overnight.

In the dark abyss, Peter awoke.

Seeing a spot of light, Peter walked towards the source. Making out the familiar figure, Peter gasped before running towards the silhouette.

"Aunt May," Peter exclaimed.

"Yes, Peter," Aunt May gently replied.

Peter desperately tried to wrap his arms around her, but a barrier pushed against him.

For all the things that Peter could wish, Peter wanted his aunt's warm hugs.

"I've missed you," Peter said, calming down his breath, "you don't know how much. "

"My boy, I think I do understand," she replied with a bitter smile, "how I wish to hold you. But, in the end, I can't."

Noticing the dark space, Peter asked, "where are we?"

"That's simple, we're in the middle."

"What's' the middle?"

"Where life isn't gone but isn't present. A world, in which, you are neither dead or alive."

"How is that possible? Didn't we both die?"

"No, you didn't"

"What'd you mean? I-I'm dead, aren't I?"

"Oh, Peter, it isn't your time. Goodbye."

"Wh-what? No, not again! Don't leave me!" Peter begged to the dark abyss, his nails clawing against the barrier.

"You know I'll love you forever."

And, with that, Aunt May disappeared. Before Peter's eyes, stands an unfamiliar person in the spot of Aunt May.

"Hello, Peter."

"H-hello? Who are you?"

", I'm Death, and  as much as I would like your company let's get to the point I know you're quite fond of Wade Wilson."

"Yes," Peter responded with a sad expression. Peter remembered the sight of Wade getting dragged away.

The tragedy broke Peter. The memory left scars that Peter couldn't hide with an easy-going smile, it left Peter lifeless.

"He's quite fond of you, and Wade hasn't found something he could hold onto in a long time."

"Why," Peter asked.

"My impossible love so little because they don't always stay. Did you know that Wade could have killed everyone in that room and escaped with ease? But he didn't, both you and I know that fact."

"Yeah, so what of it?"

"And, you know why he didn't."

Peter thought about it, "yes, I do."

"My boy, it isn't time for your calling. You must go to Wade Wilson, and be with him. That I believe is your happiness."

With that, Peter fluttered his eyes open to see the sun peeking through some buildings with the stars were still in eyesight. Peter pulled against his bindings, freeing himself from them. Still, in his previous clothing, Peter left for the Avengers tower.

Peter snuck in through the Avenger's window. The sky was bright through the many windows, giving a golden pinkish reflection. He walked over to his dads' room and squeezed himself in-between Tony and Steve. Sleeping for three peaceful hours, Peter awoke to feel refreshed. The time was 8 AM, Peter roamed around the empty space of the Avenger halls. As the sun was making its way up the sky, Peter rested himself on the couch. During that time, Peter thought about his meeting with Aunt May and Death

It was about 10 AM when someone had walked into the living room, Peter was admiring the buildings below through the windows. With his spider senses tingling, Peter was alerted at the sight of a stunned Steve.

"Hi, dad," Peter said quietly before his father hugged him tightly in his arms tears making its way down both of their faces. "God Peter why?"  Steve started "Hey, I'm back and we can talk about this later meanwhile you wanna make breakfast?" Steve smiled and replied "sure, lets go"

----

With the pancakes freshly made and finished, the pair started to devour their breakfast, groaning as the flavor burst in their mouth.

"Peter," Wanda uttered in disbelief.

"Hi," Peter responded with a mouth full of pancakes. Behind Peter was Steve making another batch of pancakes for the sorceress. Steve threw the stacks of pancakes toward Peter, who effortlessly caught the entire plate of pancakes. Landing on his feet,  Peter glided the dish over to Wanda.

"Yum," Wanda smiled playfully before digging into her breakfast. However, before the pancakes reached her mouth, a hurricane of flower barreled her way. She uttered in shock and annoyance, "okay, who did that?"

"Oops, did I do that," Peter stated innocently, hiding his hands.

"Oh, you're on."

"Dear God."

Using her power, Wanda dumped the mixture onto Steve-- covering his face in the batter. The trio laughed, before starting the food fight of the century.

The other Avengers ran out of their rooms, wondering to see what all the noise was about. However, to their surprise, they found a massive food fight and a Peter . At this sight, Tony was shocked.

"Peter?" Tony said rubbing his eyes

"Yes, sir," he said, tightly hugging his father.

"Kid, don't call me sir, it makes me feel old."

Peter pulled away, smiling at his father before smashing an egg on his head.

"Then don't call me kid," Peter yelled playfully, before running away.

"Oh, come back here!"
