He pulls into his drive way and I recognize his neighborhood. This is the street Ashley lives on. Jamie puts down the stand and I unwrap myself from him then take off my helmet. I get off his bike and fix my dress then hand him the helmet as he puts them both away. He walks his bike to a shed and locks the door. He is totally paranoid. Taking my hand he leads me up his front porch steps then unlocks the door. We step in and he shouts, “MOM, I have a surprise for you.” I hear feet racing to us and see Jamie’s mom standing in front of me. Before I can even say hello she wraps me in a hug and I have to gasp for air. “Can’t breathe momma B.” she loosen her hold but doesn't let go.

“Logan I have seen you in forever!” she squeals into my ear. Ouch! Jamie finally forces her to let go and I can finally breathe properly. I slip of my flip-flops next to Jamie’s shoes and his mom ushers us into the living room. “So honey how did you like your surprise?” she asks me. “Well it was defiantly a surprise and I loved it I couldn't have asked for anything better.” I answer. “So are you staying for supper?” I nod my head. “Do you mind if I stay the night? We have a lot of catching up to do.” “Oh no of course not!” she cheers. “If you stay then you can show Jamie around town tomorrow.” “Totally.” I cheer back.

We make our way into the house’s living room and sit down. Jamie grabs the remote and turns on the TV. The local news comes on and I fill momma B in on what has been going on in my life since I last saw her. She listens intently as I go into detail about how school was yesterday and today. I finish telling my story and I notice Mr. B isn’t home. “Hey where is Mr. B?” I ask Jamie shrugs his shoulders. “Oh don’t worry honey he will be home soon.” Momma B tells me. I nod my head as she starts to tell me about what has been going on with them.

This year is going to rock! I hear about what happened when Jamie got kicked out of school. Along with how they made the transition here. I have to laugh when she goes over how upset Jamie was when they joked about there being a law that said he couldn’t bring his bike here. Jamie and his bike are like me and my camera. The news turns to a boring TV show. A pair of warm hands covers my eyes and I can smell the faint scent of gasoline. I squeal and turn around the hands falling from my face. I jump up into the arms of Jamie’s father. “Mr. B you are home! I missed you!”

He catches me and twirls me around “I missed you too Logan.” He sets me down and leads me to the kitchen. Momma B and Jamie join us. We pile into the kitchen and I see four bags from McDonald’s on the table waiting for us. “You didn’t?” I look at in disbelief. He just smiles and nods his head. I go to the bags and look through them to find my meal. I finally find a bag with a chocolate milk shake, a ranch crispy chicken snack wrap and some fries. I run back to him and hug him. “Thanks Mr. B!” I run back and sit down taking out my food and beginning to eat. Jamie is the next to look through the bags and he sits down by me.

Jamie’s parents grin at us then join us at the table before helping themselves to their own meals. We make small talk as we eat and I finish my fries all too quickly so I deiced to steal some of Jamie’s. The first few go un-noticed but then he starts to catch on to me. “Are you taking my fries?” he asks. I look at him with innocent eyes. “Me? No why would I want your fries?” I steal a few more and he snaps. “Oh now I know that you are stealing my fries!” He grabs the few fries he has left and moves them out of my reach.

“Ha try and get them now Logan!” he dares to laugh at me. I launch myself at him and end up knocking both of us to the ground. “Just hand over the fries Jamie!” I shout in his ear, he squirms away. “Never!” he shouts back into my ear. I wrestle my way to his out stretched arm. I manage to get a hold of the bag and I can hear Jamie’s parents laugh at us. Jamie lets go of the bag and I fall off of him and open the bag. IT’S EMPTY! I look back in to the bag again just to see nothing again. I look at him in disbelief. “Where are the fries?” he laughs “I hid them.”
