It only felt like yesterday that Astrid was at home with her husband and son. But as fate would have it she was brought 200 years into the future, a world where her husband is dead and her son is missing. The only remnets of her past are some collapsed homes and her old Mr, Handy Coddsworth.

After talking to her old firend and searched for her son around the ruined neighborhood of Sanctuary she was pointed into the direction of Concord, which is where our story begins.

Having just made it past the old bridge that connected the small patch of land that was Sanctuary to the rest of the world, Astrid was now coming up on The Red Rocket. Astrid remembers the nights driving home with Nate and stopping here for gas and maybe a candy bar or two. Those memories brought a stinging wet feeling to her eyes, she shook her head and kept walking.

As she was walking she became wary of the moving figure that was up ahead, Astrid held her gun close and braced for a fight. As she slowly moved forward towards the abandoned gas station she was able to see what is was. A German Shepherd dog, and a healthy one at that. Seeing this Astrid lowered her gun slightly and approached causilly.

Poking it's head up and sniffing, the dog then seeing Astrid it begins to wag it's tail. The German Shepherd bolts up to Astrid with it's tail wagging and it's tounge sticking out panting, excited to see a person. Astrid lowers her weapon as soon as she realizes that there is no threat with this dog.

"Hey there doggy, do you have an owner" the dog makes an attention grabbing whimper "guess not...well you want to come with me" the dog gives a small bark of agreement as it wags it's tail. Astrid scratches behind the back of the dogs ears a bit "okay are you a girl..." the dog gives a soft whimper "or a boy?" the dog then gives a hearty bark and his tail wags "okay a boy then" Astrid keeps petting as she looks over to the road leading to Concord. She stops petting the dog which the then whimpers as soon as Astrid's hand leaves the the dog's head, she leans down and picks up her gun. She walks over to the edge of the gas station, she looks over at the dog and slaps her thigh a couple of times to call him over the dog the trots on up to Astrid and they begin walking to Concord.
