The gushing crowd, the cheers in unison, so many people and there he stands. I see his bleak figure in front of my eyes. As the crowd sings along to match up his words as I see tears rolling down from their eyes as his voice reaches their ears.

He is standing on the stage. People want to have one glance of him as he sings in his melodious voice. As they cheer for him. As they call out his name again and again.

But Im just standing there, not moving an inch, not listening anything as he sings, and unable to see his face. I go closer to the stage where he stands. But the more I come closer to look at his face the more he seems to going far from me.

And there... as he finishes the song, the crowd still hums the beats and he throws his head back. As if he is satisfied  after so much hardwork. As if he is finally free. The sombre in the background lights his face and he seems like an angel who just retrieved his wings.

People around me, with tears in there eyes cherish every bit of the melody they just heard or probably lived. I look around me, and he is gone. I want to see him. I want to know who is he. Why he is loved so much. What on earth his voice has that captivates so many people. I turn around to see him going away from the crowd.

I chase him with equally paced steps as him. He slowly is drifting towards the dark. I follow him carelessly, as he moves deeper and deeper into the dark.

*flash* suddenly a light. A bright light flashes before my eyes and I see him again. This time a little clearer. His bleak figure was visible before my eyes. I was finally going to see him. But he stops walking.

He looks at the sky, taking a deep breath. He removes his ear piece. As I look at him doing this, I see a mask falling of his face and he looks blurry again.

He turns around. His back is now facing me. And he starts walking again.

'Maybe I, I can never fly.'
I finally hear him. He hums to the beats of the song. And keeps walking as he continues to sing. I passed beside the fallen mask. I take a look at it as I hold it in my hand. It was scratched. Scratched as if someone has tried to draw a smile on it countless times.

I follow him and I land up at a place with no lights around. I move my hands around in fear. The shriek terror of the darkness gets over me. I want to get out of here.
