❝ Why are you afraid of looking up at the sky? ❞

❝ It's because those raindrops might burn my eyes. ❞

Hong Jisoo took a deep breath before stepping into the clinic, inhaling the scent of medicine and alcohol mixed all together. "H-Hello. I'm here to have an appointment with a psychiatrist." He stammered out, sheepishly walking towards the counter. After writing on a few papers, he was told to sit down and wait for his name to be called.

A few minutes later, his name was finally called as he walked to the room where the psychiatrist is in. When he sat on the chair by the table, Jisoo took a glance at the nameplate pinned onto his doctor's coat. 'Lee Seokmin' it read while Jisoo began to tense in the chair he's now settled on, remembering the name printed on the identification card in the wallet he stole from his one-night-stand, but he decided to merely shrug it off. It could only be a coincidence, right? It's not him right? He thought while observing the aesthetic interior of the room.

His eyes landed onto the sweater the man is wearing under the coat. A yellow sweater with a black ellipsis printed at the front. Hold on- that's my sweater! He mentally shouted. What if, what if he was the man that I made out with that day? "E-excuse me. I'm sorry to ask this but did you, perhaps, went to a club the day before yesterday?" The older nervously asked, clutching onto his shaking hand.

"How'd you know? Wait--

don't tell me you're the one who stole my personal belongings!" Seokmin shouted, his index finger pointing towards the older man while his eyes widened, spectacles nearly slipping from his nose bridge. Oh no, Jisoo's hunch was right, sadly. He was the person who he, unfortunately, made out with that day. Of all people why him? Why a psychiatrist? Jisoo thought as he rests his forehead onto his palms in complete regret, he shouldn't have bothered to ask anymore so Seokmin wouldn't find out and recognise him.

He didn't have any choice but to run away before the now angry psychiatrist rages on him or in a worse case- even file him with a case. After all, that psychiatrist had power while he had none.

Running through the streets, he looked back only to see a man in a white coat (Seokmin) chasing after him.

"Why the fuck are you chasing after me?!" He shouted at the man still running.

"It's because you fucking stole my phone and money! YOU GOD DAMNED PIECE OF SHIT! GET BACK HERE BEFORE I FILE YOU A CASE TO THE POLICE. "

-

"Sorry, I swear," Jisoo stated before pointing up to the sky then began drawing an imaginary cross mark onto his chest.

They were currently resting on a bench by the river, giving up on running because they were both heavily exhausted. Seokmin bought a water bottle for the both of them, in which Jisoo accepted. "So why did you want to have an appointment with a psychiatrist? Considering that you even had to steal a person's money for it?" Seokmin asked Jisoo then started chugging the distilled drinking water down.

"I'm depressed."

"Pfft. HAHA That's it?!"

"Is that the right way to treat your patients?!" Jisoo angrily snapped at the younger.

"No. Just to you." The younger remarked, bringing a finger up to Jisoo's chest before wheezing at Jisoo's priceless reaction.

"Alright, alright. But in all seriousness, where's my phone and wallet? I'm pretty sure you didn't already sell it with that short amount of time."

"Uh,

Sadly, no. I sold it just yesterday."

"What?!" Seokmin shouted.

"I despise you." Was all Seokmin said, closing his water bottle in anger. He couldn't believe it, how did he sell that phone within a short amount of time, only one day? He stomped off, walking away from Jisoo who was still sitting down the bench. He had no phone nor a wallet for public transportation, so he walks alone, disbelief completely taking over him.

Once again, Jisoo felt isolated in his whole world. The sky was starting to get dark, stars not visible because of the thick clouds surrounding the moon. Good grief, the moon ain't covered by the clouds otherwise it would have been dark, but not completely. Very gloomy indeed, an atmosphere matching up to Jisoo's feelings. Once again he's attacked with anxiety, feeling that he's not good enough for the world. Call it sudden or what but this is how Jisoo really is. He thinks he can't do anything right. He didn't really want to steal yet he had no other choice.

Thunder's resonating around the grassy place, he stood, alone, his pluviophile heart waiting for his beloved rain to pour. His anxiety fills his dark heart as the droplets of water causes his dark-brown hair to be damp. Time passed, yet he's still standing under the rain alone. People who passed stared at him weirdly, wondering why that man is letting the rain fall on himself.

Suddenly, the rain stopped, or so he thought.

A yellow umbrella covered him from above.

"It's like er-- 11:00 pm, aren't you going home?" A voice from behind asked. Jisoo turned around to see whose voice it was and was met by the face of the same psychiatrist who left him alone by the river earlier.

"I don't have a house. Yesterday the landlady kicked me out because I bring random guys every night and make noise. She said she fell ill of the noises I make every night." He chuckled to himself, looking back up to the yellow umbrella.

"So where do you want to stay now?"

"I bet it would be really selfish of me to ask if I could stay in your house. Aren't I right?"

"Good point. Stay in my clinic, no one else stays there anyway." Seokmin demanded.
