Meeting a new friend

Me and Ace have been together for a few days getting to knoew each other and all that stuff. "So whats your favorite color?" I asked him. "Red yours?" "Blue" He nodded taking a bite of his apple. We both were sitting by the lake eating some apples we found on a tree in the middle of town. Weird place but it was all we had for food for now so im glad it was there. "Want to go take a walk around town? Maybe we can find some clues to get rid of the gods." I asked him getting up and dusting my shorts. He shrugged which I guess was a yes since he was getting up.

As we were walking I looked over at Ace seeing he was just staring at the ground. I sighed but kept looking around for maybe a book store. A girl was walking not looking where she was going and bumped right into Ace. "Omg im so sorry..." She seem to go quiet. I looked over at Ace to see what was wrong. Aces hood fell off I guess when she bumped into him. I looked back at hair and I swear I could see hearts in her eyes. I felt like I was going to brow up. He pulled his hood back up and picked his apple that fell on the ground back up. "Oh im so sorry let me get you a knew apple!" She grabbed Aces arm and dragged him to I guess her house. I stood there eye wide open. Did she like not notice me?! ugh I can just tell this is going to be trouble I thought why chasing after them. "Hey wait up!"

We walked into the girls house it was nice but small. "My names paige very nice to meet you. Whats yalls names?" "My names Faith and This is Ace." I replied She looked at me not expecting me to say Aces own name for him. "Well nice to meet yall! ....Are yall like together?...." She asked. My eyes widen at this and I turned to Ace seeing his eyes flash. Good thing Paige didn't see. " No were not we just met a few days ago. Were kinda on a mission together so to speak." She nodded and went into her kitchen and grabbed three bowls. "Well how long are you staying here?" This time Ace spoke which surprised me a little since he doesn't talk much. "Were only staying till are mission is done. When it is we will be parting ways and I will leave this town." He replied with a bored voice. My heart felt like it broke when he said all that. I don't know why I felt this way but I felt like I wanted him to stay by my side forever. I looked over too Paige seeing a slight smile when he said we would be parting ways but it vanished when he said he would be leaving. "Well then during the time untill yall part I would like to help you with your mission. I could maybe let yall stay in my house for a little while?" She said mostly looking at Ace. We both looked at each other and nodded. "I guess it would be okay if we stayed. Ace said why taking off his hood. There they are again those hearts in Paiges eyes again. pulled my hood off and fixed my hair so it looked normal. I turned seeing both Ace and Paige staring at me. "What?" I asked looking back and forth at them. "Oh nothing your just really pretty Faith." Paige said. My cheeks turned slightly red. "Th thank you. Your very pretty yourself." "Why thank you Faith!" She skipped back into the kitchen making are meal for the night. I turned to Ace hoping he would say the same but all he did was turn away and head for the table to sit. I sighed and joined Paige in the kitchen helping her make the meals. "Hey um Faith I was wondering... Does Ace have a girlfriend?"  She asked why she mixed the soup. Sighing I replied. "I have no idea."

We finished the meals and we all sat down together enjoying the food. I turned to Ace seeing he was smiling slightly, he looked really cute when he smiled. I smiled and listened to Paige why she told us her story.
