Hey guys I hope you like this one, if im honest i dont really know whats going to happen yet in the story...but ill try and make it interesting (: please comment and tell me what you think (: xx
Megans POV:
I walked down the corridor nice and early. First day back and all, I wanted to make a good impression. I wouldn't exactly say start the way I intend to go on. If
I'm honest, I didn't even mean to be in ten minutes early. It just happened.
People stopped and stared at me, with their mouths hanging open. Me early for school, yeah it never really happens! It could have been because I'm early.
Or it COULD be because of my new look. Either way it felt uncomfortable.
I tried not to look at the turning heads and walked to my locker."Don't look Meg, don't look" I whispered to myself. Grabbing my books from last term, I
whispered the lyrics to eyes on fire by blue foundation:
I'll seek you out,
Flay you alive
One more word and you won't survive
And I'm not scared of your stolen power
I see right through you any hour
I won't soothe your pain
I won't ease your strain
You'll be waiting in vain
I got nothing for you to gain
I'm taking it slow
Feeding my flame
Shuffling the cards of your game
And just in time
In the right place
Suddenly I will play my ace
I won't soothe your pain (ahh-ahh-ahh-ahh)
I won't ease your strain
You'll be waiting in vain
I got nothing for you to gain
Eyes on fire
Your spine is ablaze
Felling any foe with my gaze
And just in time
In the right place
Steadily emerging with grace
felling any foe with my gaze
steadily emerging with grace felling any foe with my gaze
Steadily emerging with grace
I felt a hand on my shoulder and I turned around to see the familiar face of Simon smiling down at me. I grinned.
"Hey" I said cheering up instantly. Simon chuckled.
"Wow, your new look is really...Wow, I can't believe I managed to persuade you for a new look..."
Simon stood looking at me. Simon is 6 foot exactly. He has blonde floppy hair that he tries to keep away from his smouldering brown eyes. He's hot. If he
wasn't my best friend, and he wasn't gay, I would so be into him!
My grin turned into a smirk as I closed my locker and my song came to an end.
"I do SOMETIMES listen to what you have to say Simmie!" I gave him his pet name which made him give me his breath taking smile, he grinned showing his
perfectly natural straight white teeth. I grinned back as we walked to class.
"Have you noticed, everyone keeps staring at you, you look hot babe" He replied smugly. I rolled my eyes. We had finished school and were doing A level. I
needed a change from my plain and nearly scene clothing. Simon chose the feminine and more "preppy" clothing as Simon called it.
Today I was wearing my new pink Abercrombie hoodie with the logo stitched in white with a long grey vest underneath, over some dark blue jeggings. I wore
white block heeled dolly shoes for the elegant affect. Instead of my old rucksacks Simon had picked me a brown shoulder bag. I looked a right girl. It didn't
help that my brown hair was now dirty or Sandy blonde, and with my natural loose curls down to my back, I just didn't. Look. Like. Me. But if Simon said I
looked okay, I was willing to believe him.
Simon had been my best friend since year three when I accidentally hit him with a tennis racket. In my defence he WAS standing in my court and in my way!
Ever since we have been inseparable. Even when he came out of the closet to me. I mean nothing was going to change I would always be his best friend.
Even if he decided to give me a new makeover and I looked pretty bad. I trusted him.
We walked into our tutor and sat down in our seats-which were placed next to each other. Mr. Moorland came in and while pressing his glasses further up
his nose, he stared us all out. Like everyone else he gaped at me when he saw the difference. I tried NOT to squirm in my seat...I said TRIED which in my
opinion and past generally means it didn't happen or work out. I shifted my gaze and slumped in my seat. Oh boy I could tell it was going to be a long day.
The first four lessons and break went by slowly. As soon as the bell went for lunch, I shot out of the class. I HAD to meet Simon who said he would meet me
in the school car park.
Simon drives me to school. Well he USUALY does. I have past my test AND I DO have a car. I just feel more comfortable with Simon driving. I waited for
Simon to come out of his class. Ten minutes had passed when I got a phone call. I picked up on the second ring
"Hello" I said trying to sound all cheerful.
"Hey Meggie" Simon called down the phone. He sounded awkward.
"You okay" I asked quickly. Simon replied hastily that everything was okay and not to worry. We didn't speak for a couple of minutes.
"I'm hanging out with err someone else this lunch. Do you mind?" he asked. Did I mind? No not really. I just wish he had said sooner.
"Course I don't" I laughed down the phone "Do I get to meet this mystery err person?" I asked feeling excited.
Simon coughed and mumbled something under his breath.
"What-"
"I've got to go now Meggie. Bye!" He said interrupting my questioning. As the phone beeped to show it was the end of the call I slowly put my phone back in
my pocket. I was pissed. He had left me on my own. When I looked like THIS. I stomped of to the cafeteria to face the stupid humiliation of shocked faces.
Alone.
