Today I wake up due to the heating in my room. I jump out of bed and ran down the stairs. I searched all around the house for the source of heat. I finally I to the living room and found out that the fireplace was on. Remembering that I turned off the fireplace last night. I suddenly hear a cup fall on to the floor, so I run to the kitchen where the cup fell. I stare at the cup and how it fell off the counter. I pick up the cup and put it in the sink so I can wash it later.
I suddenly feel a light tug on my arm I turn around and see and guy wearing black pants, a black T-shirt and a black mask. I felt a scream coming up my throat but he covered my mouth with his hands. He said that I came here for revenge. When he uncovered his mouth I punched him in the arm and ran to the nearest room. I locked the door and started to cry because 9 years ago in high school I was hanging out with my friends when Evan came up to me with a flower, he said: "I like you." I started to laugh with my friends because we all thought it was a dare from one of his friends.
After that day I wrote a note saying "sorry for laughing at you. Also, I need to tell you something in person." I waited by his locker for 10 minutes and his friends passed by I quickly asked one of his friends what isn't he here at school today and he told me that "Evan loved you a lot even it wasn't a dare from either of us." Then I ran to the bathroom and started to cry I kept on texting him until he replied: "Why?" I texted him back "sorry and I like you will you forgive me?" He didn't text back until 5:30 p.m and he said "I don't know" After a few minutes I get a message that he blocked me. After a few days, I get a text from his friends that Evan ran away from home. Now I saw him in front of me.
Awhile later the power goes out. I Look around for the light switch and I finally found it I tried to flick it on and off but it wouldn't work. So I slowly unlock the door and turned the doorknob so he does not hear me. I look around the house and every single light is off and I try to turn on and off the light but none of them work. I hear footsteps coming closer to me when the footsteps stop I slowly turn around and see Evan without the mask on his face he looked the same but he grew a mustache he looked really cute and handsome. He asked me "Do you like me?" I turned around and went to the basement and I knew that he was following me so I went inside the room where I keep all the photos that I took I showed him a photo of all the photos we took together.
When his eyes widened I asked him what is it he took out his phone and when to the gallery and showed me the same photo I took a close look at the photo and it was the same photo so we met when we were little. I was really surprised that we knew each other! I took the photo from his hand and turned around to put the photo back I called out "Evan" So he can help me lift the box back. I turn around and I see no one I search all around the basement and I find him looking at the window. He turned around to look at me and said "HIDE!!" I said "why?" He told me that someone was chasing him when he was coming here but they chased me for no reason and there also holding a knife I ran to the other side of the room and opened a door.
I went inside to on the light I told him to go inside of here. So he did and he his eyes widened and said "Oh my god this is like a little house!" I went in with him and I quickly got a thought if the door was locked I told him that did you lock the door or was it unlocked when you came in? He said "the door is unlocked!" When he got up to go lock the door it was too late we heard footsteps above us. I was about to scream when he covered my mouth his hands were really soft. I told him to call 911 and he said "no!" I thought why and I whispered into his ear to go forward so when they open the door they don't find us.
My heart was beating really fast and my breath was short. I looked at him and tapped on his shoulder and whispered in his ear i don't hear any footsteps. Then I hear people come down the stairs and I start to cry thinking if I die. Then I feel someone's arms around me and I knew it was Evan and I continue crying. I suddenly hear the door open my heart beats really fast tears rolling down my cheek and I hear steps coming closer to us then someone grabs my arm and I feel like i'm getting dragged. Then I feel a sharp pain going through my arm and I scream for help.
