Ch:4--The Perfect Day

ROSS' POV

Riker had dragged me into the bathroom and I had a feeling I was going to get chewed out. He smiled huge at me and said, "You like her!"

Busted! But I had to play it off cool. "What are you talking about?"

"What am I talking about? The 'you look great!' comment. The looks you guys were sneaking at the table. I see the way you smile at her. Ross, you have never smiled at a girl like that!"

He was right. I haven't felt this way before with a girl. "Okay. Maybe I do like her."

"I knew it! He said with a huge smile. But it slowly turned serious. "Ross, I love that you have found somebody you like but...you don't know who she is. She could be someone totally different. I just want to let you know that I want you to be careful and not get your hopes up."

Riker was always the one that helped me with anything. He was right. But I just knew she could be the one. "Thanks Riker."

He laughed and opened the door. "No problem."

When we came out, Mom, Ryland, and Beauty were finishing up the dishes when Ryland flicked water at Beauty. My mouth fell open and I giggled. She was surprised but started laughing. "Oh you're gonna get it!" She flicked water back and also grabbed bubbles and put them in his hair. I figured I would join in so I grabbed a bunch of bubbles and and put them all over Beauty. She squealed and pushed me away. "Ross!" She said laughing. "Your gonna pay for that!"

"Uh-oh!"

I looked at Riker with big eyes. "Run!!!" He said frantically.

She chased me outside and got me all soapy. I was trying to find a way to get her back when I saw the pool. I ran towards it and was going to push her in when she tricked me into falling in myself. I came up out of the water and she was laughing her head off.

"And that's for getting me wet." She said with a little sass. Her sass was cute!

"Well now that I'm all wet can you help me get out?" She looked at me and shook her head.

"Okay. If I have to." I held out my hand and she grabbed it to help me out, but I pulled her in the pool with me. She came up laughing so hard. She tried to push me under but I slipped out of her grasp. Riker and Ellington came out and saw us both in the pool. They smiled and got their phones out.

"Picture time!" They both said at the same time. Beauty tried to get away but I had her in a bear hug. "Smile!"

After they had taken pictures they came in the pool with us. And Ryland, Rydel, and Rocky came out and laughed when they saw the pictures. Rydel was tanning outside the pool and everyone else was in the pool.

"So what should we do?" Ryland said while sitting on a red noodle.

"We could jump off the diving board and have a contest of who can do better tricks?" Rocky said smiling.

"Yeah." We all yelled.

"So who's judging?" Ellington asked.

"I am!" Beauty squealed. She was so cute! She wasn't normal. And I LOVE that! I laughed and she smiled and blushed at me. We got out and she sat on the side of the pool. The guys were getting ready and Rydel was going to judge with Beauty. Before I went to the guys Beauty stopped me and said, "Show those guys up!" She was rooting for me. YES!

"I always do!" She saw my smirk and giggled.

We did several different tricks. Riker and I did a lot of flips while Rocky, Ryland, and Ellington did weird poses. While I was in line to go, Beauty would give me looks that were so cute. She would stick her tongue out and one eye would always wink. I know I have only known her for two days but...I was falling for her. She was different and quirky and amazing! And she was an easy judge. She would always give really high scores-and for me even higher scores-with Rydel being a Simon Cowell judge. When I was in the lead-because of Beauty's favoritism scores-and Riker behind by five points. We decided to take a drink break. Rydel stayed out to talk with Beauty while us guys went to get a drink.
