THIS IS SO DELICIOUSLY LONG I COULDNT HELP IT IM SORRY.

LOVE YOU ALL.

--

I had been Selena Marie Gomez’s best friend since we were born. Literally. We have the same birthday and everything. Our mothers said that after the whole process we were placed next to each other in the nursery and we would just keep smiling at each other. We sparked our mothers friendship while sparking our own. Ever since then we’ve been inseparable. Even when Selena decided to make her move into stardom, I followed along. We’ve moved from apartment to apartment and eventually to her massive Calabasas home together.  I guess you could say we were more like sisters. I was always the good girl who kept her humble and grounded. She called me her own personal saint!! And it was common knowledge that we shared everything with each other. Meaning I knew just how much she loved him.

Which is why these newfound feelings for her long-term boyfriend were completely and utterly uncalled for, unwarranted, and so so wrong.

I was broken from my trance by fingers snapping in front of my face.

“Charlotte?” Selena asked.

I looked up at her from my position on the floor, blushing like roses.

“Sorry, I was just running over the steps for the dance in my head before we tried again.”

She nodded and helped me up smiling in the direction of Justin, who was watching lovingly from side stage. We were about to start rehearsing the last number of the day and he just had to pop in.

Great. I thought. Just keep your eyes off of him and it’ll go away. Maybe I’m sick.

On the count of three the music began and just like that, I was transported into a whole new world. This was my passion, my reason for being and I poured everything I had into every movement. There was no question about it, I earned the spot I held as lead back up dancer. My body moved fluidly with the beat, executing every sexy move with killer precision.

Moving up to stand right next to Sel I pushed myself off into one of the kick turns, rolling my hips along the way. In the process of turning around my eyes connected with a certain honey brown pair. Connected to a certain set of lips that were being bitten by a certain pair of teeth. I turned again, following the routine, being sure to lock eyes with him again. The honey color in his beautiful iris’ had darkened with some unknown emotion and to say the effect was lost on me would be a lie. As his tongue darted out to run over his bottom lip and his head dipped lower, forcing me to watch his eyes through his endless eyelashes, butterflies erupted in my stomach and everything went down hill from there. All at once my concentration broke, my footing became sloppy, and I fell flat on my ass for the second time this week.

As the music came to a sudden halt and the other dancers stopped, I took a second to run my hands through my hair with my eyes closed.

That did NOT just happen. My imagination must have been playing games with me again. I needed more water.

When I looked up again, Justin was talking to one of his dancers about something, confusion laced deep in his features. He brought his attention back to our group and passed right over my face sending me a friendly smile, like nothing ever happened.

I kept watching him though, for some sort of a sign that I could make sense of. In an attempt to clear my head I stood to retrieve a water bottle. I heard a loud surprised cry and turned around quickly to see Justin standing with a dipped Selena, their lips pressed together.
