"okay googie~ im tae and im seven, how old are you fren?" tae asked closing the door behind them and going to his controller for his game and exiting out of the previous game he was playing. he's sure jungkook would want to play something else.

not even answering his question, jungkook eyes darkened some and his facial expression was flat. not the least bit amused anymore. jungkook just stood there staring at the side of taehyung's head, with squinted eyes just pretty much studying this new kid. already making his judgements of taehyung.

so this is the kid his dad is always talking so fondly of?

somehow, taehyung felt the air just get heavier. not only that, but he could tell from just his quick glance of jungkook that his demeanor was different. mostly because he was looking at taehyung like he didn't like him anymore. jungkook had a facial expression that wasn't so pleasant looking.

"i'm 7 too." jungkook says bluntly, walking away from tae to look around his room, coming to a stop in front of the book case that held tae's figurines, spelling bee trophies, children's books and other miscellaneous knick-knacks.

taehyung just blinks at the straight forward response, he hadn't expected jungkook to change in just the short distance of traveling up the stairs. he doesn't seem shy anymore... or even innocent in that matter. it's almost like the little boy was a different person... it concerns taehyung. did he do something wrong?

even if he did, this shouldn't stop taehyung's efforts in making a new friend. maybe he can fix it, whatever it is. "oh, okay!" taehyung says trying to change the topic.

"you like my figurines?," taehyung notices that jungkook was now looking at his his bookshelf, so instead tae starts a conversation about them. jungkook eyes just follows taehyung as the other picks up his two favorite figurines, while stating such. "these are my favorites~" taehyung says with a soft smile, and only then did jungkook fully look towards him.

"who gave them to you?" jungkook asks in a seemingly innocent manner, tilting his head and widening his eyes. taehyung however picked up on the fact that jungkook's attitude was now different from a few minutes ago.

as if he was back to him innocent self.

"m-my dada." taehyung answers with a warm solemn smile just thinking about how his biological father gave him these superman and iron man figurines when he was little.

"oh where is he?" jungkook asked taking one of the figures from taehyung's hands, "he shud be here with you? why he is not here?" jungkook followed up, prodding at the superman's head a little bit to see how sturdy his head was. taehyung couldn't help... but feel as if jungkook knows something.

did he know?

"i... i dont know where he is..." taehyung says not giving an answer to jungkook's questions. he didn't want to tell jungkook anything about his father. it's a topic that makes him fairly sad and he didn't want to discuss it.

sniffling trying to hold back the tears that inadvertently started bubbling in his eyes, the seven-year-old turn back towards the tv to put on a new game. mostly because he didn't want jungkook to see him on the verge of tears. it was a happy day not one to be sad about. taehyung has a new friend now, why be sad? " what game do you want to pla-"

his sentence was cut abruptly, because when he turns back to look towards jungkook, the other is smiling. it wasn't one of those that was menacing... it was more of a small excited smile. though with the context that was given... it was almost as if he was smiling at the topic about his father.  either way taehyung couldn't help but frown a slight bit at it.

"it's ok tae-tae! whatever happened to your daddy, we can share my daddy instead!" jungkook says eyes glistening with a sparkle of sincerity. that makes taehyung quirk up a sad little smile. "tank-you~" he wipes his face more with the end of his sleeves, sniffling as he did so.

"lets play the game." taehyung says, jungkook almost missed for it being said so low. the other follows behind taehyung as he shuffles over to his controllers and games sprawled on the floor. "i have teenage mutant ninja turtles do you wanna play dat?" tae suggests hoping kook would take the offer.

"no. i wanna play street fighter." jungkook states, just looking at taehyung. much to taehyung demise... he didn't.

he didn't want to play a game where he and jungkook have to compete for the main reason being.... he didn't want jungkook to get mad at him. taehyung most definitely didn't want to lose himself. however, not doing as the other commanded of him would also make him mad.

sighing, taehyung looks around and sees the game casing sprawled on the floor mostly hesitant on picking it up. he really didn't want to play a game he would have to fight against jungkook in, being afraid it would cause a fight between the two.

there had to be another game that peaked the other's interests. pursing his lips, tae scans the floor for more games they could play, "hmm can we play disney infinity-"

"no. i said street fighter." jungkook demands but intimidating like this time, just staring at taehyung with this baring look in his eyes that was just so scary to taheyung.

so quickly, taehyung picks up street fighter and puts it into the console.jungkook smiles in victory as taehyung sits awkwardly, looking at the loading screen.

jungkook... was already scaring him.
