You got to the 'hogwarts express' station after saying goodbye to your parents, looking around for your redhead friend, lily evans.
After you recognized her in the crowd you decided to go talk to her ; "hey , lily!" You said as you were approaching her .

"Y/N ! I missed you so much! " she almost yelled as she pulled you into a tight hug .
After you both let go you got on the train and tried to find an empty compartment.
You got no luck at finding one so you entered the next one you opened.
You opened the compartment door to see four familiar faces, "evans! , L/N ! Good to see you again" sirius said with a smirk , "Good to see you too sirius" you laughed and entered .
You sat next to remus and james, who was looking out of the window , like he didn't even notice you and lily showed up.
"What's up with him?" You asked and pointed at james . Sirius raised his shoulders and did an 'I don't know' face . james noticed you were talking about him and pointed out ; "I'm just tired" and yawned right after that. "Flirting makes you tired huh?" Lily said while she rolled her eyes , annoyed , as always.
You and the madauders, well, except james, snickered a bit . James looked aside from the window , at lily's direction , "yeah evans , sure" he said and tilted his face in annoyance .
Lily looked at him with a confused face and james looked over to the window again.

After a couple of hours you got to hogwarts .

You set at the gryffindor table and talked to your friends , guessing wich house will be picked for the first years , who walked up to the sorting hat , looking really nervous . You remembered your first year at hogwarts, how you met everyone and gained a lot of great friends.

After the feast you walked to your dorm , ready to get some sleep, while the marauders just started their night.

James laid on his bed in relief , "prongs what's really going on with you?" Remus asked , "I don't know, I feel a little different.." james answered , "In what way?" Remus asked, being curious .

"I think that, that, my feelings towards , um, lily.. changed" james told him, remus was a little shocked, the guy was chasing her for 3 years , and now he gave up?!
"Where did that come from?" Remus shot , still confused, as he sat on his bed.
"Is that because you fancy some other girl?" , "well, I don't really know .. its really confusing , I think I need some time figuring it out" james answered "shh , be quiet , some of us are trying to sleep!" Sirius yelled in a sleepy tone . after that , there was silnce for a good 30 seconds . They both whispered good night and went to sleep.

After a couple weeks in your 4th year you noticed that james was acting a little different , lily noticed it as well .
But lily was happy about it , and you were suspicious.
James started teasing you , pulling pranks on you and trying to impress you.

He was a cocky flirt , and as you hated it , you kinda liked it as well.
