It was the most terrible night for any young teenager. It didn't matter what color, race, your religion, it was the most terrible night of your life. Unfortunately for Tiana, she was caught in the middle of it. Tiana sat in the back of her father's car that night, with her mother and sister riding along. The rain punched the windows, only to be defeated by the blades sweeping them back and forth off the car.
"So, what do you have to say for yourself, Veora?"
Tiana was rather suprised that the question wasn't aimed at her. Her sister, Veora Jackson, was caught at a party on the southern side of Chicago. Her father Jefferson Jackson, drove down to the deepest part of Chicago and broke her away from the party.
"Dad, I just wanted to have fun."
"Not with those kids. Veora, they're with the lowest of the low. Why can't you be more like your sister?"Her father asked, not taking his eyes of the disappearing road.
Tiana yawned, it was almost midnight, she took out her cell phone, with a apple logo on the back that looked like someone took a bite out of it. She tapped her way through her messages, to see her cousin sending a picture of him with the student council of his class.
She texted him back saying congratulations and an "I love you", and shifted her attention back to her father and sister still arguing.
"You just can't go to anywhere just because you turned fifth-teen. That doesn't cut it."
"Your father's right Veora."Her mother's voice cut through her ears. Her mother began looking off into the dark night seeing red and blue flashing lights approaching their car. But the sirens weren't sounding.
"Jefferson honey, there's a police car coming up behind us, shouldn't you pull over?"
That stopped Jefferson's and Veora's argument. They turned their attention out the window behind them, to see the police car speeding ever closer.
"SIR, PLEASE PULL OVER, NOW.WITH THE LICENSE PLATE READING, TPV-4002, PLEASE PULL OVER."
"Great."Jefferson pulled the car around to the curb in the busy street."This night keeps getting better and better." He muttered sarcastically.
The police car pulled over alongside their 2017 Chevy Cruze. Tiana watched as the police officer stepped out of the car. She felt a chill travel straight up her spine. She watched as he had his hand resting on what looked like a gun.
Tiana began to grow increasing nervous the more closer the pale officer approached their car. Tiana quickly brought out her iPhone and tapped the Instagram icon, and started to use the Livestream feature.
Tiana turned her phone in a horizontal position, much like a landscape. The officer didn't notice, as Jefferson rolled his window down.
"What is it officer?"
"Place your hands in the air, sir!" He officer forcefully exclaimed with a familiar weapons aimed at her father.
"Please! Don't shoot!" Veora shouted at the officer through the back seat of their soaked vehicle.
"Please, I have a family officer, can't you-"Tiana's father spoke.
"Afraid not."The officer responded, Tiana looked at his cold eyes, having the most feared glare, tearing through her soul. The lightning behind him split the sky, driving Tiana, closer to her sister, Veora Jackson, who was present in the backseat with her.
Their mother Alieya Jackson, was in the front passenger seat, watching the situation unfold she had fear in her eyes, we looked at the girls, then at her husband, then at the officer.
