Hey, so I recently finished the book 'The Perfect Duet' by @kpgcatlover and I really loved it. I saw the contest on writing a one shot fanfic for the story and decided to go for it. I thought, well, makes me able to write my own version of our favorite Dylan and Mackenzie's perfect ending.
Sooo, that's all, hope you enjoy reading this!
Oh, and by the way, there's a link to a song on the side. You should go and listen to it as you read the second half of this one shot!
@kpgcatlover, this one's for you.

Six Years Later...
She sat there in the airport, among the hundreds of picket signs and banners in the crowd, waiting for her boyfriend.
Her brother came up to her, "Hey, Mack, he should be here anytime now."
"Yeah, okay, thanks Luke." She replied, as she continued waiting anxiously.
A few minutes passed, when the crowd suddenly erupted into cheers and wolf whistles, signaling that, yes, he had indeed graced them his presence.
Mackenzie glanced around, looking for him. As she spotted him, she instantly stood Their eyes met, and it was as if they were alone in the airport, as if he had never been away for the past few months.
"Birdy," He breathed out, happiness written all over his face.
"Dylan." She whispered.
Then he went straight for her, wrapping his arms around her waist and lifting her up, twirling her around. She circled her arms around his neck and buried her face in his hair.
"I missed you," He murmured into her neck.
"I missed you too," She replied.
He finally put her down after another round of wolf whistles and chants of "Dyzie" were heard.
Dylan and Luke nodded to each other, and gave one another a 'man hug'
"Mr. Stone, we have to go now." David, his bodyguard, said as he parted the crowds and made way for them to go through. The paparazzi was everywhere, snapping photos of them, firing questions at the two.
"Are you still together?"
"Are you going to sing a new duet?"
"How do you feel now that you're back at your hometown?"
We walked past the crowds then went in the limousine. They were heading straight to the arena where Dylan will be performing his final show for his tour 'Summer Night Serenades'
Mackenzie sat beside him in the limo, and leaned her head on his chest. Dylan put an arm around her and kissed her temple. "So Birdy, what have you been up to?"
She scrunched up her nose, "Well...mostly just getting ready for law school ever since I finished Undergrad, and hanging out with some friends from Yale. How was your flight from New Jersey? "
"It was okay, good thing it was just a short flight though."
Dylan looked at her and played with her hair. "So, I was thinking...," he trailed off.
Mackenzie shot up from his arms and narrowed her eyes, "You were thinking?"
Dylan grinned sheepishly and scratched the back of his head. 'He looks so cute,' Mackenzie thought, flushing.
