She was out, she was finally outside. It took her a while to convince Jaehyun and trough he was hesitant he allowed Chaerin 30 minutes. She wasn't completely trusted though as Jaehyun supervised every move she made.
The air was fresh, it was almost too good to be true. For months she was trapped in darkness, with a disgusting scent that filled the air. She had not communicated with anyone but mice and roaches.
It drove her insane.
"J-jaehyun c-can we get something to eat..?" Chaerin asked, demanding Jaehyun to take her to a nearby restaurant or cafe.
Jaehyun stared at Chaerin, it has been days since he last fed her, and she looked so skinny that he can almost see her bones popping up.
A strange feeling came upon Jaehyun, a feeling mixed with guilt and pity.
"S-sure.."
Chaerin's face lit up, images of different meals were viewed in her mind. Jokbal, tteobeokie, kimchi, soy bean noddles, it was too good to be true.
Entering the nearby restaurant, the scent of pork filled Chaerin's nose. She was drooling at this point, Jaehyun didn't know why but he almost felt as if it was his priority to get the girl fed.
"Chae, sit down there I'll order the food,"
Chaerin obeyed, it wasn't common for Jaehyun to treat her with respect and give her food, so she had to cherish every single moment.
Wishin 5 minutes, a variety of food was set at their table and without hesitation Chaerin filled her mouth with the delicious food in front of her. Jaehyun didn't know whether to feel embarrassed or guilty.
It was his fault he didn't feed her, and yet it was her fault everyone was judgementally staring at them with pure disgusts on their face.
"Excuse me I have to go to the bathroom," Jaehyun said. "Don't go anywhere."
Chaerin felt chills run down her spine as she heard the murderous tone in Jaehyun's voice, it reminded her she had to escape. She was so engulfed in the meal that she forgot she was going to use this chance to escape.
Without further interruptions, Chaerin ran to the nearest waiter, fear plastered on her face.
"Help me.." she begged.
The man was confused, "ma'am please stop, you are making the customers uncomfortable."
"Please! Help me! He's crazy!" Chaerin cried, not caring if she looked insane she needed to escape and this man was her only hope.
"Don't touch me! You're insane!" The waiter scowled, pushing her away.
Before Chaerin could retaliate, she saw Jaehyun walking back to their table. Afraid, she ran back, pretending to eat her food.
"Finished..?"
Chaerin shook her head, scooping rice onto her spoon, eating it shortly after.
Jaehyun smiled, showing his handsome face. It has been a while since Chaerin has seen that side of him, it reminded her of one of the reasons she obsessed over him.
Thump
"You got something on your face Chae," Jaehyun softly smiled, brushing the rice off her chin. The contact made Chaerin blush, and for once the warm feeling she got around Jaehyun came back.
Thump
Chaerin didn't want to admit it, she was disgusted with herself for it. But she was once again falling for Jeon Jaehyun.
