The room was perfectly organized. everything neatly stacked on the shelves and tucked away in the cabinets. As if the room was untouched for a long time.
A dark oak desk stood against the wall. Unlike the rest of the room it showed signs of life.
Papers in a mix of both ancient languages and English were scattered across it. Some had strange drawings on them in different colored inks.
Some were crumpled and discarded with half finished thoughts scribbled on them. Ideas that never made it past the approval of the logical part of the mind.
Bottles filled with strange herbs and leaves were also left on the desk. The combination of the ones left open created a pleasant fruity scent.
The atmosphere was still and silent. Arms rested on the desk belonging to the man who sat relaxed in a chair made of the same dark oak as the desk.
He could sit there for hours. The only thing capable of bringing him out of the peaceful trance was the cool breeze from the window in front of him.
A book was open to the last read page in case it was wanted again.
But he was content to just sit there
exploring his thoughts. Occasionally taking a sip of the hot tea.The green tea enveloped his senses. The lemon and honey guiding his mind in different directions.
Directions previously unseen.
The mind is a tool that people utilize every moment of their lives. Using it to solve any problems that they're facing.
But some times one needs to stop using it and let it go freely where It desires.
Free from obligation.
Free from boundaries
Free from one's own biases.
That is when it can work at its best.
Seeing every possibility. Pondering the unanswered questions shouldn't be avoided. The man is so deep in his own thought it's almost as if he ceases to exist.
Sometimes it's good for one feel what it's like to disappear.
To see that it's not about them. And to see that they're a part of something bigger.
Something unknown.
Something incomprehensible.
Something beautiful.
