At first glance, I looked like a pretty normal child. Just another fluffy, brown Eevee, shielded from the real world from her protective parents. I've seen the real world. And I'm not exactly normal...
My name is Angel.
Why was I named that, exactly? Was it because I looked like one as an infant? Or was it because I was a "precious" little angel? No, both of these are wrong. My name is Angel because I have wings. Gorgeous, furry wings that I got from my father, Levi.
Levi isn't your typical Jolteon. His fur is jet black, and he was created in a lab around 30 years ago. He was the first winged Eevee, and he passed his wings on to me. As for my mother, Cynthia? She's just a regular Glaceon. I evolved into one for her, but I'm not a shiny like she is.
Enough about my parents. I've never gotten used to being different, and life at school is really hard. I get bullied every single day. I thought I'd just have to deal with this for the rest of my life, until this one day when everything changed for all of us...

"Angel! Time to wake up!"
My mother slowly nudged me. I opened my eyes slowly.
"I don't wanna..." I mumbled.
"ANGEL!!" Mom screamed. "YOUR FATHER MADE PANCAKES FOR YOU!!!"
"Okay, okay... No need to yell, Mom." I grumbled.
"That's my girl. Now, come on!" Mom chirped and pranced downstairs. I rolled out of bed and followed her, growling under my breath. Mom has always had dramatic mood swings.
"Good morning, Angel! I made pancakes!" My dad smiled at me when I entered the kitchen and took a sip of coffee.
"I gathered that, Dad." I rolled my eyes and sat down. I took a bite out of a pancake. His food never disappoints me. He's the best cook I know.
Suddenly, someone knocked on the door.
"Who the heck is that?" I asked.
"I got this, Sweetie!" Mom walked over to the door and opened it to see an Absol standing there. Her fur was a beautiful, pearly white. Her eyes were a bright, ruby red. The look on her face was warming and welcoming.
"Are you Mrs. Cynthia?" she asked. Her voice was delicate and soothing.
"Yes, yes I am," Mom nodded her head. "Do you need something?"
"I need to speak with your youngest daughter, Angel."
I felt my heart skip a few beats. Youngest? Did this lady know about my older sister who left the house four years ago?
"Angel, sweetie! Someone wants to see you!" Mom looked back at me.
"Er... I don't even KNOW you." I slowly got up and approached Miss Moonlight. "Why are you here?"
"To see your lovely wings, of course!"
"Are you gonna make fun of me, like everyone else does?"
"Of course not!"
I sighed and slowly opened my wings. The Absol's eyes widened.
"Ha! You are incredible!"
I folded my wings. "Uh... Thanks?"
Miss Moonlight smiled at me. "Now you go ahead and continue eating, I need to speak with your parents privately."
I nodded and walked back into the kitchen. Dad stood up and walked off, leaving me alone. What does Miss Moonlight want with my parents? I thought.
Then out of nowhere, I caught a flash of black and yellow in the corner of my eye. I blinked and shook my head. I looked out the window, to find an Umbreon looking at me. His eyes were wide open, and he stared at me like he had seen a ghost.
"HEY! WHO ARE YOU?!" I snapped at him. "WHY ARE YOU ON OUR TERRITORY?!"
And like that, the Umbreon ran off.
"Well, how weirder can this day get?" I scoffed and shoved a pancake into my mouth.
"Angel, who were you yelling at?" Dad walked in.
"There was this guy in the yard!" I threw my paws into the air.
"Well, that happens sometimes," Dad said.
"Angel..?" Mom followed behind Dad with tears in her eyes. "Do you know why Miss Moonlight is here?"
"Nope."
"Well, she is a principal of a very... Special academy. It's where gifted Pokemon go to learn and control their powers. And your father and I want you to know your wings better than when he was your age. So... We're sending you off."
"WHAT?!"
"I'm sorry, Angel... It's for the best."
"I'm sure you'll do great!" Dad approached me and patted my head. "We have faith in you, and we'll always be there for you."
"Miss Moonlight is here to pick you up," Mom sniffed.
"W-why didn't you tell me about this?!" I asked.
"We thought it would stress you out, sweetie."
"I guess that's fair..." I shrugged. "Alright, I'll go pack."
"Only if you let us help!" Dad smiled.
