eric started laughing as he typed "sure" and clicked sent. he was already waiting at the coffee shop but he didn't mind about not paying.
he spotted you entering the coffee shop before he slowly made his way to you. "awe man! i thought i would make it before you could!" you pouted as y'all both walked up to the cash register.
"what homework were you working on?" he peeked over your shoulder since he was behind you. you turned around and smiled, "i was working on our algebra homework." "wAIT we had algebra homework?" eric exclaimed as you literally facepalmed at the cash register.
you both ordered your drink as you brought out your card. clumsy as you are, your card fell onto the floor and you squatted down to pick it up. as you got up, you felt eric move from where he was as the employee gave you the receipt.
you were confused. you didn't pay yet but it didn't bother you. 🤑🤑
as you guys walked to the table you asked if eric saw. "did you see what happened?" he turned his attention to you, "what do you mean?" you told him to go down so you could whisper in his ear, "they gave me the receipt but i didn't even pay!" he looked at you and shrugged his shoulders, "maybe it's the customer service?"
"order number nineteen! drinks for eric and hanbyul!" eric pushed you out of the booth to go get the drinks. "what a meanie" you mumbled under your breath.
as you went to get your drinks, the girl working stopped you. "your boyfriend is super nice and romantic!" you were about to speak but she continued, "i think it's really cute how he bent over you to swipe his card when you dropped yours! oop he's definitely a keeper!" you just smiled at her and said a little thank you.
walking back you had eye contact with eric. this was normal for you guys, but it felt different this time. it was as if time stopped.
