~Jakes POV~

I woke up to the sound of the door quietly closing. I looked up to see Chloe just leaving the bus. It looked about 4 in the afternoon, i probably fell asleep earlier.  I looked again at the list of songs we were going to perform tonight, and realised I should probably  get ready. The set was at 8. Four hours from now. I stripped off the clothes from earlier and had a quick shower. As I stood in the shower, i noticed some red liquid on the ground, and a razor on the bench.

The razor was usually there, but the blood wasn't. I quickly put a Misfits t-shirt on, skinnys and leather converse. I pocketed the razor, and casually walked outside to where Chloe was standing with Kellin.

"Chloe, can I talk to you in private for a second?" I asked Chloe.

"Yeah, sure." Chloe had replied.

We walked to behind the bus. I pulled out the razor, making sure no one was around.

She went deathly pale, anad tried to walk away. I grabbed her arm, making sure i didn't grab her wrist.

"No, what made you do this?"

Chloe started to tear up. Her eyeliner began to run down her face. She tried to pull away, but I gripped her arm harder, holding her in place.

"Please Chloe, I want to help you. But I can only do that if you tell me what is going on."

"When I was younger, after I broke up with Kellin, I moved away. I did my best to pretend that I didn't care. It was hard enough moving away from Kellin, but breaking up with him three days before the move? I couldn't deal with it. Life turned pretty shit from then on. My mother died from lung cancer, and my dad started staying out late drinking." She sobbed. I let go of her arm and pulled her into a hug. "Dad started doing drugs and spending the little money we had on alcohol. I would work at a cafe after school to earn money, but then he would go spend it all. He abandond me when I needed him most. That was when I started to cut. For years I did it. I tried to commit suicide once. I tied a rope arouund the fan, put the loop around my neck, was just about to kick the chair out from under me when I realised that there could be so much more in life than pain. Somehow, I stopped cutting. Not to much later, we formed the band."

It was to much to take in. I knew she was telling the truth. I pulled back her jacket sleeve to reveal the new cut.

"What about this?"

She looked up at me. Her eyes were red and blotchy. Her mascara and eyeliner had run down her face, creating a look that was not her.

"Flame scared me this morning. She was talking about the band breaking up. I did my best to comfort her, but she really scared me. And Kellin has been acting a little strange lately. Like, he hasn't been acting like the Kellin I know and love." She mumbled something under her breath.

"What was that?"

"Nothing. I just said that maybe he isn't the one for me."

I didn't know what to say. I wanted to say no, he isn't the one for her. But I didn't want to break her heart.

"Anyway, I feel like my love life is interfering with my music. I just couldn't handle things. So I cut. Can I please go now?"

Before I could answer, Kellin came round to where we were standing.

"Is everything okay?"

Chloe turned and ran into the bus, slamming the door behind her.

"She's just going to need some time alone." I said.

"Yes, well, someone is here to see you."

Kellin stepped aside to reveal Xena.

"Hey." She said, walking over to me.

"Hey. What are you doing here?"

I didn't mean to sound rude, but apparently, she didn't take it that way.

"I've been following the tour since it started."

"Oh?"

"This is also my home town."

She grinned, and I grinned back. I beleive I was falling for her.

"So, would you like to go out sometime?" I asked, walking past Kellin, hand in hand with Xena.

"Sure."

"Have fun you two!" Kellin winked at me. I made a face at him and walked off.

Xena and I grabbed a coffee and began walking back to the tour busses. As we got back, i looked at my watch, and realised I had 10 minutes before I had to be at practice.

"Sorry, I have to go."

"Okay, see you tonight. Look out for me, will you?" She kissed me on the cheek and ran off.

~Chloe's POV~

I stood, holding the mic, waiting for Jake to turn up. He burst through the door, and crashed into me, spilling warm coffee all over me.

"What the fuck Jake?"

"Sorry." He muttered as he walked briskly over to the drum kit.

"Jeeze." I quickly wiped the coffee of my top and shot Jake a glance of mixed amotions.

"You guys ready?" They nodded and we began.

After two hours of practice, we had about half an hour to set up for our concert. I walked over to Jake to give him a hand with the drums.

"Hey, thanks for earlier. It felt good to tell someone about it."

"No problem." That was all we said to each other for the rest of the night.
