"You see it too, don't you?" Lily said, still staring at the snow on the ground. "Y-Yes, I do. What's going on?" I asked. Lily looked at me. "It's here."
Um 'It's'?
"Excuse me, I don't think that's a name. Can you be more specific?" I said. Lily sighed. "Too much to tell you. You're mortal. You won't understand."
"Mortal?! Wait, what?!" I exclaimed. "Please, tell me! Am I dreaming? Is this real?" I begged on my knees. Lily took a long pause before replying. "Look, if I tell you, you must keep this a secret. No one can know about us."
"Us? Who's us?" I asked. I am so confused right now. Does she have a weird boyfriend? I swear, if she's playing a joke on me and this is just a coincidence...

"Us, the Elements." Lily said.
I stood there staring at her blankly. "Helium, Uranium...?"
Lily punched me in the side. "That's the Periodic Table!"
"Well, duh! Those are elements!" I yelled. "I meant the Elements of Nature! Fire, Water, Air, Earth, duh!" Lily said like it was the most obvious thing in the world. "Uh...." Was all I could say. "Which one are you?" I asked. Lily smiled, and droplets of water spilled from her hand.

"I am Water."
