Tears of Blood (Shiki Fanfic )

Prologue

The ghost sounds of laughter and joyful music filled them empty as a spiderweb glinted in the moonlight. The moon shined through the dust windows as torn old curtains hung from the sides. Furniture was thrown around the halls and rooms, the air was cold and dark as the sound of a music box echoed from inside a room is hidden deep inside the large manor. Crimson liquid splatter on the floor 

 A small night lap placed in the corner of the room lit the room in a dim gold light. Toys and stuffed animals discarded on the floor as a broken snow globe laid against the wall as the small ballerina twirled slowly as it played a small melody. Curled in a corner a small little girl with dark strawberry blonde hair sat with her head tucked on her knees as she hugged her arms. Besides her sat a small porcelain doll with long wavy black hair and deep blue eyes. Unlike the other toys in the room, the doll seemed new and well taken cared of. The doll wore a pair of white ribbon slippers and a lolita white dress with lace on the edges of the dress and ends of the sleeve. Wearing a white headband with a lace bow on the left side with a small red rose placed on the center of the bow, around the neck was a light faint blue ribbon tied to the right side.

Hearing the sudden loud sound of glass smashing and furniture being thrown around the rooms somewhere in the manor the girl flinched as tears gathered in the corner of her eyes as her body shook in fear.

"Where did the demon child go?!" A voice yelled out somewhere in the manor before the sound of a female scream broke through the loud noises. Letting out a small gasping placing her hands on her mouth to silence the cries from coming out as tears streamed down her screams.

"Witch! "

"Demon!" 

Male voices yelled out, trembling the girl gazed up in the at the stone ceiling as she listened to the loud noises from above as she covered her ears clenching her teeth as she shut her eyes.

"Someone... Please help." The small girl whispered crying softly as she opened her eyes to gaze over at the doll sitting beside her. Fresh tears filled her eyes as she reached over hugging the doll close to her as the faint familiar smell of her mother's perfume clung to the doll's clothes.  

"Mama."

Hearing the sudden sound of yells in terror the small girl's eyes widen terrified as she gazed up at the ceiling as she listened to the sounds of the men's screams in horror continue. Her body trembled too hard that her muscles began to tighten and go stuff making her body go in a small pain.

"Kamisama... Please help me." The small girl cried softly as she listened to the screams not knowing what was going to become of her. Her body felt cold being locked down here in this hidden room, she could feel death's breath breathing down on her. At that moment she wasn't true who would be the one to end her life. As the screams ended the small girl jumped in fright her eyes widen a the silence, for some reason that heavy silence terrified her more.

Her breathing became uneven as she listened to the sound of footsteps walking around the room. Her eyes widen someone knocked in the hidden door on the ceiling of the hidden room. Shaking she let out a small gasp as the door lifted open, letting out a small scream she hugged on to the doll more tightly as she clenched her eyes closed. Hearing the sound of the footsteps coming down the stairs tears streamed down her cheeks as the footsteps grew close before stopping near her.

"So this is where they hid you." A soft childlike voice spoke out making the small child a bit confused how different the voices of those people who had broken into her home sounded so different from this one in front of her. Raising her head her eyes widen starting at the young girl standing in front of her. The girl looked like the age of thirteen with dark purple hair with bangs, her eyes were black and seemed so hallow yet seemed to gaze deep into the girl's eyes. Giggling the girl walking up to her reaching her hand out her.

"Come on, your coming with me now. It's safe now." The girl said smiling down at her. Unsure she hugged the doll closer to her gazing up at her with a small tremble.

"W-who are?"  She asked the purple haired girl who smiled at her giggled.

"Sunako. Come, it's okay you can trust me. Those bad men are gone, no one can hurt you." The girl said reaching her, gazing into her eyes the small girl slowly reached out placing her hand on the girls. Flinching a little when she noticed how cold the girl felt, standing up the small girl followed Sunako up the staircase going up into the room above. Flinching the small girl raised her hand to shield her eyes from the light. Her eyes widen when she noticed dead corpses laying around the floor. She shook as she noticed three other people standing in the room. The women with long pale blonde hair smirked at her with the same hollow eyes as Sunako. The man standing beside her with pale blue hair smiled at her happily as another man standing by the door with blueish-green hair crossed his arms with a closed-eyed grin. 

Giggling Sunako walked a few steps ahead in front of her raising her hand for her to take.

"These people killed your mother and father, that's why they go what they deserved. You can come with us now. We'll be your new family." Sunako told her with a small twirl letting out another giggle.

"Family?" She asked Sunako hugging her doll close to her feeling the faint scent of her mother hugging her.

"Yes, we'll be a family." Sunako smiled reaching her hand out more gazing at her hand the small girl gazed down at the ground before her eyes drifted over to the open window. The full moon shined down brightly as a blackbird flew through the sky. She had never felt so alone as she did now and yet...Gazing back at Sunako the girl gazed into Sunako's hollow eyes. Letting in a deep breath she reached over placing her hand on Sunako's. At that moment a fate was sealed and nothing but death would follow after.
