Alexander's Point of View•

I mean, a barista?

I could not be falling for him.

I'm way above him.

I'm the CEO of a major company!

"Um, yeah hi there. I'm Alexander H!" I brought out my hand.

"Hello sir! How can I help you today?" He shook my hand and then pointed to the menu.

"I'll have a... Mocha Frappuccino. Decaf. And make sure you have the whip cream, I know sometimes they forget it." I thought.

"Coming right up!" He smiled as he took out a cup and wrote my order.

As I paid for my drink, we began to talk a bit about our own lives.

"So why are you working here?" I asked him.

"Times are rough. My family isn't doing anything well, and we need money for a surgery. For me, to be specific." He frowned.

Oh. He has a family.

"What's the surgery for?" I asked.

"I was in a car accident before. My spine got completly ruined. They say if I don't get surgery, I could get paralyzed from the neck down. Although one of my legs is, but I can still walk fine. I had a surgery for it, so it helped with walking." He explained.

"Oh wow. I hope you get better." I smiled.

"Thanks. And here's your order." He handed me my frappuccino.

(A/N so we got an Uber rn, and the guy comes up, different color, different license plate, and the guy said he changed his car... if I don't update this, I hope someone does because I'm probs gonna die. 10 MIN LATER. I did not die.)

"Thanks!" I smiled as I took the cup from him.

"My shift is over in 5. If you want you can sit down and I can come over and talk?" He suggested.

"Sure. It's not like I have anything to do anyways." I shrugged.

I went to go sit down waited a few minutes as I drank my frappuccino.

"Hey, I'm back!" He came up to the seat across from me as he took off his  apron. He pushed aside his pigtails, with his curly hair, and sat down.

"So, what do you do?" He asked.

"I'm actually the CEO, here." I smiled.

"Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry sir! Can I get you anything? Anything at all?" He quickly jumped out of his seat and stood next to me, a look of worry on his face.

"Haha, no not at all. And no need to act like this! Please, sit down, be confortable." I put my hand on his shoulder and gestured for him to sit.

I kind of forgot about him being a barista.

I didn't care about it.

He was just one of a kind.

But he had a family.

And everyone I have ever cared about has died. I can't have that. It would break his wife's heart.

And even if it worked out? It was obvious he was straight.

"Um, thanks. So, how's your family?" He asked.

"I don't have one." I looked down at the table.

"Oh, um, I'm sorry... do you have any pets?" He apologized.

"I used to."

"Your friends?"

"Don't have any. Just some rich billionaires, who are bitches."

"You seem to have great co-workers!"

"None of them like me."

"What's your favorite color?" He changed the subject.

I smiled,"Red. I would say black, but people say it isn't a color."

"I think it's a color." He smiled back.

"Oh really? Well then black it is!" I laughed.

"Why black though? There's always something behind someone's favorite color." He asked me.

"It represents the difficulties I faced in my lifetime. Everyone I have ever loved has died." I frowned.

"Well...my favorite color is yellow! But it's specific. See?" He pointed to his phone lock screen. On it was a rainbow flag, with words written under it, 'gay pride forever'.

"So you have a husband?" I looked at him.

"Haha, I wish. I just got out of a relationship." He sighed.

"Was it a harsh divorce?" I asked. Wait. Maybe I was being a bit too personal.

"I've never gotten married. Why do you think- oh! I said family! Haha, I meant my parents and siblings." He explained.

So he's single.

And homosexual.

Yay?

"Oh. Okay. Makes sense." I nodded my head

"What's it like being a CEO?" He asked.

"Lonely. It's impossible to ever do anything. I don't like it a lot." I sighed and shook my head.

"Then why do you do it?" He looked confused.

"I used to be an actor with great ideas and whatever. I was an actor when I was 15. Known for my looks. After 4 years, they asked me to become the CEO, and promised a lot. At that point in time, my life was all down hill. My mom, dad, and brother all died in an airplane crash. I thought this might help. My fiance also left me. She said I didn't love her enough. Now I look back and think it's a mistake." I said the complete story. I had never told anyone.

"I don't think it's a mistake." John smiled.

"Why not?"

"Everyone seems to love you."

"Not exactly. The media thinks I'm a mean grinch who has no soul. They aren't lying. But it's because I have no family. So I decided that maybe I could adopt a child here. I guess it would help."

"Seems like a great idea!" John nodded in agreement.

"Let's just hope it works." I sighed and look up at the glass ceiling.

"It's been nice meeting you, sir. But, I have to go now. The building has kindly offered to house me for a few years for little money. Have a nice day."

"I hope you have a better one."

(A/N could you guys send in some random words or phrases? I'm practicing my calligraphy but I don't know what to write!)
