Milo runs as fast as possible, with only one thing on his mind, losing his home again. Charity and Aidan are running behind him but it is hard to keep up with Milo. The new friend, Aidan, trips over the roots of a tree. He immediately shoots straight and continues as if nothing happened.
Milo arrives at the place where all the smoke comes from, a glow of relief appears on his face as he sees the institution is all right. Charity stands behind him and sighs deeply as if it were her last breath. Aidan, on the other hand, has no time to sigh. His face looks pale, even paler than Milo's skin. He clearly had never seen magicians controlling the fire before.
"What is going on here?! You see this too, don't you?!", Aidan stops talking to take a breath and then starts talking again "O God, please tell me you see this too!" Charity is giggling and looks at Aidan. "Haha, yes we do. These are the magicians they can control very much, but most of them choose to specialize in fire or water or anything else. You can also be an archer like me or a knight. Whatever you prefer." Charity smiles sweetly towards Aidan. "I'm a knight, I fight with my sword. It is too heavy for me but I'll learn how to fight with it, right now I can scare people off with my huge sword!" Aidan takes out his sword and throws it on his shoulder, he gleams all the way like a child who made a drawing for his mother.
Charity takes out a small paper, the only thing on the small piece is a few stripes. "What is that for?" asks Aidan. "This is the paper where I count how many times Milo didn't go to classes." Charity begins to laugh and then draws another line. Milo roles his eyes and walks towards the institution.
"O chips!" Charity stomps on the ground. "We are too late! The dinner is over!" She rubs her belly. "Cherry, everyone knows you have food in your room so don't overreact like that." Milo chuckles at Charity. Her cheeks turn red as she looks at the floor, she fiddles with the bracelet who is too tight around her wrist. "So where do you guys sleep? I sleep over there." He points his finger at the room at the end of the dark hallway. The expression on Charity's face changes when Aidan points. "I sleep in the room next to you!" She points her finger at her dorm and then does a little jump. "Milo sleeps over there, just a little further." Charity runs to Milo's door and then smacks the door.
"It is late, I should go to sleep." Milo gives a hug to Charity and then leaves to his room. Before he disappears in the doorway he waves at Charity and Aidan. "GOODNIGHT MILO!" yells Charity. "So do you want to eat some candy?!" Charity is so excited like she hasn't eaten it for years, but we all know that she eats them every day. "Sure! Who wouldn't eat candy with a hysterical girl!" Aidan laughs and slaps his hand in front of his mouth. The brown haired girl grabs Aidan's arm and pulls him to her room. "Okay, promise me one thing, you'll never tell anyone about my candy!" Aidan laughs and then promises he would never tell.
A week passed by, they spend their free houres together. Their new friend had been with them the whole week. Their was no reason for him to leave or find other friends, the two were nice to him and felt like family to Aidan. Monday morning, everyone wakes up, all of the children are stressed. They are walking around in the hallway, their heads bent over their summaries, those who didn't have one looked with the other students.
"Hi Aidan, are you ready for the big evaluations?" Charity and Aidan are walking towards Milo. "No, I feel like I'm not ready. What happens if I fail?" Aidan's voice is shaking, he is terrified, he clearly doesn't want to fail.
"I don't know haha, but you'll be fine! I've never failed and I don't study that much." She keeps on walking, not one blood cell is stressing. Aidan looks at her face, there is a certain serenity resting in her eyes. The girl looks at Aidan and then immediately turns away to give Milo a hug. The pale boy isn't saying anything. He is quiet. He looks at the newies face and then asks
"Stressed?" Aidan shakes his head. Everyone sees that he is stressed but Aidan is not planning on giving in.As all the students walked into the hall, a few are already sitting down. The three are walking in looking for where they have to sit down. Charity looks around the big hall. She points her finger at a seat on the first row. "Over there is my seat, where do you guys sit?" she looks at Milo, the pale boy indicates a seat a little further down the row. Aidan says Cherry that he sits on the second row. "I'm going to my seat, bye guys!" Aidan walks down the stairs and sits down. The other two walk down together, Milo notices that Charity is stressing out. "So you do have stress?" Milo smiles and Charity nods. They are standing at the bottom of the stairs, Charity wishes the boy a lot of good luck and then walks to her place. Milo walks the other way and sits down.
"Hi, I'm Lucy, Lucy Lawson. I'm new." A girl with hair as white as snow takes the seat next to Cherry. "Hi, I'm Charity, I'm not new haha." The girl laughs and then continues her introduction, "My dorm is on the second floor, room 24. Where is yours?" The girl has a round face, she looks very fragile. "Mine is on the third floor, number 34. So I have the dorm right above you!" They both smile. Then an old lady enters.
"Goodmorning students of Mabeo, today is a really important evaluation. Hope all of you studied enough. I and the other teachers wish you a lot of luck." The old lady wears a soft pink suit with small heels. Her hair has curls and she has matching lipstick. Her eyes glance over the hall. "Ok everyone, time for the test. No more talking, if you even say one word you will get an F." She looks nice, but she is the exact opposite.
A few hours later everyone finished, all the students compare their answers. So did the three friends, most of the time Charity is talking. Not only about the evaluation also of the new girl Lucy.
"It is too hot, I'm getting a different sweater." As Aidan is walking away someone calls his name. "Aidan, Aidan Smith. Come to my office." Aidan turns around. His face is turning red. He walks into the office, the office of our headmaster.
"Wow, he is tougher than I thought." Milo looks Aidan walking into the office and then leaves to his dorm.
