(Honestly, I feel like Drift is the type of guy that has an immense ego and always boasts but is also very shy when it comes to expressing feelings; but just ignore me)

     "It's a Cartoonist's paradise!" You cheered in the hotel. Drift chuckled and stuck a burrito in the microwave.
"Care to have any?" He asked nicely.
You shook your head.
You were an animator for a small company that no one really knew about. You got paid plenty, although most of the small animations you created weren't as popular as Pixar or Dreamworks.
Drift and you were close as kids and grew up together. After saving up for a few years you finally bought two tickets to Disneyland. You were staying at the Camelot Inn next to Disneyland. It had a wonderful view of the tower and firework show.
This morning, you were packing to head over as you had just arrived last night.
The microwave began beeping.
"Finally." Drift groaned and took his 'breakfast' out of the small container.
He paced over to where you were packing a backpack and waved the steaming burrito in front of your nose.
"Sure you don't want any?" He asked in a sing-song voice.
"No." You laughed and swung the bag over your shoulder.
"Ready?" You inhaled deeply before heading out the door to the halls of the sweet Disney hotel.
~~~
You handed my backpack over to security.
Drift was still gnawing on his burrito, causing the man who checked the bags to glare at Drift accusingly.
"All good, ma'am." He finally answered and let you through the gates.
You cheered in your head as you both stopped at the gates.
Over a thousand conversations were going on at once, causing the park to sound louder than it actually was. Drift was smiling his blond head off.
You stared at him.
At the grin that stretched across his face like a child.
He looked down at you and grabbed your hand.
"What're we waiting for?!"
Drift began running through the gates pulling you alongside him. You passed through the covered tunnel and found yourself gaping at the colorful of Disneyland.
You inhaled in amazement.
Drift let go of your hand and ruffed your h/c hair.
You chuckled quietly before breaking down crying.
Sobbing on the ground in front of every single family around. Your hands were covering your face and your knees were getting scratched on the hard concrete ground.
Drift hauled you up.
"Hey. Stop that. What's there to be sad about?" He asked, gripping your shoulders and making you face him.
"I'm, not, I'm not sad, I'm happy! It's been so long since I've been here!" You exclaimed, attempting to stop the flow of tears with your sleeve.
You quickly took the backpack off and pulled out a pair of mickey ears. They lit up and were different colors. Drift's was pink, yours was blue.
You passed his to him and he slid them on, grinning goofily at you.
You followed his actions and swung the backpack back on.
Drift leaned down on a knee and looked at you.
"Piggy-back?"
This reminded you of your dad when you were young. He would carry you on your head and carry you throughout the park. From Tomorrowland to Fantasyland, which was your favorite.
You climbed onto your best friend, wrapped your arms around his neck, and squeezed his waist with your legs.
"Hey, not so tight, Princess!" Drift snapped.
"S-sorry."
~~~
The smell of Churros woke up your scent glands. Everywhere you went, the cinnamon smell filled your head.
"I'm going to guess you want a Churro?" Drift asked, smiling at you.
"You read my mind."
You stopped at a booth that sold some of the pastries and ordered two for the both of you. Drift hadn't stopped grinning all day.
"So, you're telling me that this place is the happiest place on Earth?" He asked after you guys left the cart.
"Yes. Of course it is!" You said defiantly, poking his cheek.
"Right, right. So like, how?"
"Well, lots of couples hook up here?" You were a bit uncomfortable mentioning that.
You decided to quickly shift subjects.
"Anyways, what do you want to ride first?"
Drift helped you off and stared down at you.
"Trying to change subjects, Princess?" He asked with a smirk.
"No. Now what do you-"
You turned around to be faced with Splash Mountain. You were terrified of that ride and Drift could tell because he pointed to that one in a heartbeat.
"No." You responded again.
"Yes. But you'll be safe because you're with me," he bragged and clenched your hand tightly, leading you to the line.
You were shivering from fright but Drift held onto to you.
Finally, you were about to be seated.
You slid into the front seat, as chosen by your best friend, and held on tightly.
"I hate you."
"You love me."
~~~
"How do you do? Mighty pleasant greetin'
How do you do? Say it when you're meetin'
How do you do? With every one repeatin'
Pretty good sure as you're born."
The music rang through your ears, but it was faint as the sound of your heart beating grew louder as you climbed up the mountainous trail.
Drift looked at you happily.
"Hey, don't be scared. It's just a ride, you won't die."
"Oh yeah? Prove it!"
You were now at the top. You inhaled and closed your eyes. Preparing for the drop, Drift's lips met with yours as you flew down face first into a splash of water.
Soaking wet, you both pulled away.
You were stunned but Drift was amidst smirking.
"Wasn't that bad was it?"
No, of course not!
But the picture was.
