Shawn meeting your family

I was getting dressed because today I was taking Shawn my boyfriend of 11 months to meet my family and I was really nervous because he was the only guy I have ever taken to meet my family and that made him really nervous,

I called Shawn to see if he is up and dressed and ready to go, he picked up the phone and asked "what time do we need to be at your grandparents house for lunch with your family"

After I got off the phone the phone I jumped in my car to go pick Shawn up from his apartment,

Once I picked Shawn up I drove to my grandparents house where all my family was waiting to meet shawn,

As soon as we walked through my whole family surrounded us and was saying that the where so happy to meet him or talking about he must be special to have me bring him home to meet the family,

By the time they got done telling how he was the first boyfriend of mine they had ever meet my cheeks were a cherry red color.

I went in to help my grandma and sister cook while mom and the rest of the family got to know Shawn with out me hovering to make sure they didn't scare him away,

After everything was done cooking grandma called everyone in to eat lunch, grandma told us where to sit,

Shawn was sat between me and my sister acrossed from my little cousin, 

After dinner everyone worked together to clean up the table and put the left over food away,

Then we went into the living room and told stories that where funny by the time we were done it was dark and time to go home,

The whole family wanted me to bring Shawn back again.

After I dropped Shawn at his apartment I went home took a shower and laid done in bed before falling asleep I thought how great the day had been, with that thought I fell asleep with a big smile on my face
