"You can take a sit." King Edmund said taking a sit as well.
Alex remained standing and tapping his phone.
"Miss Warren, I am absolutely sorry that you spent all these years clueless of your identity but you have to know you're not human. Are you sure that you don't have a clue who your parents are?"

"I'm sorry if I seem disrespectful in anyway but do you think I am making this up?"

"I would not be surprised." Alex scoffed.
"Excuse..." I was cut off by the king.

"Alexander, need I remind you that this is your mate." King Edmund said turning to his son.

"Lisa is my mate." Alexander said with anger completely evident in his voice.

King Edmund then turned to look at me with an apologetic smile.
"I don't doubt you Miss Warren. I know a truthful person when I see one.
I assume you know of faeries." King Edmund said sitting properly in his chair.

"Yes." I agreed thinking of the few faeries I had seen to date.
A knock on the door took our attention.
When King Edmund told the person to come in, an elderly woman who I learned was Susan walked in with coffee and some biscuits.
The king was kind enough to ask her to bring me something before I could have breakfast.

I just poured myself a glass of warm milk which was meant to be taken with coffee.
I never felt comfortable eating in front of people, I prefer being alone.
I thanked Susan before she walked out of the room.

"Miss Warren, about a century and a half ago. A sorcerer created a potion by mistake and when one faerie took the potion... The faerie slowly transitioned and experienced powers that were never possessed in a faerie before. The faerie was able to have a child and the child also differed from other types of faeries.
Sapphire faeries, that's what they are called.
These faeries feared to bear children as they became afraid of the powers their offspring could possess.

About 40 years ago, some rogue faeries attacked and killed the sapphire faeries. A few of them managed to escape and spread.

The last one I saw lived with us here. She was found as a baby. Her name was Anna Rose.
Unfortunately she was killed a few days before my wife." The king paused and stared at the wooden floor.
"I will inform Maria to take you to Anna's room if that is fine with you."

I nodded my head saying a low okay.
"Why are you telling me this?"

"Miss Warren, I'm telling you all of this because you are one of them. A lot of people are unaware of sapphire faeries because they grew to believe that they have become extinct even I was not sure but seeing you, I now believe that sapphire faeries still do exist." How calm he was whilst informing that I was even more clueless about my identify than I thought I was.

"So, does this mean you are going to kill me or are the rogues going to?" I asked with fear building up swiftly in me.

"No! No, I don't have anything against your kind and plus you are my son's mate." King Edmund said swiftly rising from his chair.
I remembered the letters.

"Uhm... I came to Greystone because of this," I said giving King Edmund the box.
"I believe, my mother left me with the letters the day she left me at Aisle-Ford but what confused me the most was the money I received on my 18th birthday," I stood up and to show king Edmund the statements and pointing at the amount.
"If you go through the whole statements, they say that the queen left me this. I just don't understand why."

"Oh! I see." The king said going through the statement.
I had forgotten about Alexander's presence but he seemed interested in the statement as his father handed it to him.
"So you came here with the hope to get more." Alex scoffed.

"No! Absolutely not. I never used a single cent of it. Look I came to give it back. I work for what I have.
This to me seems like a mistake." I said still offended by Alex's words.

"It can't be. My wife... My wife would not have made such a mistake.
Miss Warren, I think I forgot to tell you that Rose was my wife's best friend, she was also my son's godmother. She was a sapphire faerie and now..." King Edmund said pacing up and down.
"Let's go to Anna's room."

Without any questions we followed king Edmund to wherever he was leading us.
When we reached the room king Edmund already found a picture that he gave to me.
"This is a picture of Anna Rose." He simply said.
I scanned the picture. She had short blonde hair and her irises were the same color as mine.
Alex still had the statement and my box in his hands when he walked over to the far side of the room.
He then removed one of the wooden tiles and retrieved what looked life a book.
King Edmund looked as confused as I was.

"I used to come in this room as a child but I couldn't unlock it plus it felt wrong to do so. I believe it now belongs to you." Alex said handing me the book.

What was I going to do with a locked book?
"But what..." I sat on the corner of the bed and opened my locket. I took out the key that has been in there for as long as I remember.
I used it to unlock the book and to my surprise it worked.
I took a deep breath. I was overwhelmed.
I took another deep breath before opening the book which turned out to be a journal.

The conclusion of what this meant came like a slap on my face...
