Nash stumbled towards the now vacant back table and carefully gathered up the trash. He couldn't help but furrow his brows at the wrinkled napkin in his hands.
"Matt, come check this out!" He hollered in excitement. A body bumped into his with a whoosh of air.
"What? Is it another piece of gum on the table? I told you how to clean it off already!" Matthew muttered in a condescending tone. Nash frowned and slapped the napkin on the table.
"No, you shit, this. That girl with the, uh, bright hair left it!" Matt rolled his eyes.
"Dude, she was literally the only customer we've had all weekend. Anyways, what does it say?" He peered down at the slanted note."Tell the kid in the green apron that I said thanks." Nash mumbled. He looked down at his own uniform, which was a smeared white apron.
"Well Matt, she means you." He jabbed at his green apron with a grin.
"Guess we'll have to see next week, if she even comes again." Matt couldn't help the hopeful flutter of his heart that someone would be interested in him.
